TL;DR: Evaluating a CT number for water, field uniformity, image noise and contrast resolutions in Kano metropolis using phantom and assuring optimum operational condition of the equipment revealed some inadequate levels of noise, HCR and lowcontrast resolution tests.

TL;DR: In this article, the current status of ultrasound practice in Kano metropolis, Nigeria was evaluated by using questionnaires, and the results showed that only 3 (4.7%) and 5 (7.8%) of the respondents performed infection control, air reverberation pattern and electronic noise checks.
