Parathyroid Hormone Secretion Is Controlled by Both Ionized Calcium and Phosphate During Exercise and Recovery in Men.
Rebecca Townsend,Rebecca Townsend,Kirsty J. Elliott-Sale,Ana Jéssica Pinto,Craig Thomas,Jonathan Scott,Kevin Currell,William D. Fraser,William D. Fraser,Craig Sale +9 more
TL;DR: PTH secretion during exercise and recovery is controlled by a combination of changes in Ca(2+) and PO4 in men by examining the temporal pattern of PTH, PO4, albumin-adjusted calcium, and Ca( 2+) during and after exercise.
Influence of vitamin D status on hospital length of stay and prognosis in hospitalized patients with moderate to severe COVID-19: a multicenter prospective cohort study.
Bruna Zavarize Reis,Alan Lins Fernandes,Lucas Peixoto Sales,Mayara Diniz Santos,Caroline Cassiana Silva dos Santos,Ana Jéssica Pinto,Karla Fabiana Goessler,André Silva Franco,Camila Da Silva Cendon Duran,Carla Baleeiro Rodrigues Silva,Marina Batalini de Macedo,Henrique H. H. Dalmolin,Janaina Baggio,Guilherme Guimarães Moreira Balbi,Leila Antonangelo,Valeria F. Caparbo,Bruno Gualano,Igor Hisashi Murai,Rosa Maria Rodrigues Pereira +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a multicenter prospective cohort study was designed to investigate whether serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] concentration is associated with hospital length of stay and prognosis in hospitalized patients with COVID-19.

Mineral replacement reactions in naturally occurring hydrated uranyl phosphates from the Tarabau deposit: Examples in the Cu–Ba uranyl phosphate system
Ana Jéssica Pinto,Mário A. Gonçalves,C. Prazeres,José Manuel Astilleros,José Manuel Astilleros,Maria João Batista +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Electron Microprobe (EMP) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to identify uranyl phosphates from the Tarabau site, included in the Nisa deposit, located in central-eastern Portugal, with the purpose of identifying uranyl phosphate mineral, assessing chemical homogeneity and stoichiometry of most relevant phases and unraveling possible textural features of mineral reequilibration processes.

Prescribed Versus Preferred Intensity Resistance Exercise in Fibromyalgia Pain.
Roberta Potenza da Cunha Ribeiro,Tathiane Christine Franco,Ana Jéssica Pinto,Marco Antonio Gonçalves Pontes Filho,Diogo Souza Domiciano,Ana Lúcia de Sá Pinto,Fernanda Rodrigues Lima,Hamilton Roschel,Bruno Gualano +8 more
TL;DR: Both prescribed and preferred intensity resistance exercises failed in reducing pain in FM patients, and the recommendation that FM patients should exercise at preferred intensities to avoid exacerbated pain does not apply to resistance exercise.
Objectively measured physical activity and its influence on physical capacity and clinical parameters in patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome.
Thalita Dassouki,Fabiana Braga Benatti,Ana Jéssica Pinto,Hamilton Roschel,Fernanda Rodrigues Lima,Kristopherson Lustosa Augusto,Sandra Gofinet Pasoto,Rosa Maria Rodrigues Pereira,Bruno Gualano,A L de Sá Pinto +9 more
TL;DR: PSS patients showed reduced physical capacity and function, increased fatigue and pain, and reduced health-related quality of life when compared to physical activity-matched healthy controls, indicating that minimum recommended levels of physical activity for the general population may not be sufficient to counteract pSS comorbidities.
