Members of a community can meet and collaborate over telephones, especially cellular telephones, or computer workstations, in a way that is freeform or prescribed, automatic or moderated, spontaneous or scheduled, unassisted, and selectably anonymous. The invention provides broadly customizable degrees of collective and individual organizational control, and provides social safeguards to minimize disruptions by unruly participants.

The number of times of listening to or watching the advertisement is counted and actual purchase on an on-line or off-line of a corresponding advertisement product of a member who has listened to or watched is deposited together with the advertisement listening or watching number of times, to thereby provide a variety of benefits such as a phone call fee reduction, a cash back, a milage point, a subsidy of purchase of a new terminal. Thus, the maximum advertisement effect can be heightened without having no harm to call, and the utmost service can he provided so that a benefit on purchase is bestowed to a member who listens to or watches the advertisement via a phone call fee discount and a point/milage deposit with respect to purchase transaction on the on-line and off-line commercial transaction system.

Based on a comparison between the input identifier and the information maintained in memory, the present invention determines whether the input identifier is a longhand information item. If it is, the present invention accesses from memory the associated shorthand information item for the entered longhand information item. The present invention then presents the accessed shorthand information item to the user, so that in the future, the user will activate the longhand information item by entering the associated shorthand information item.
