Enclosed flux dependence of the eigenvalue spectrum: localisation and quantised Hall conductivity in a two-dimensional electron gas
G. C. Aers,Allan H. MacDonald +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the dependence of the eigenvalue spectrum on the choice of origin for a Landau-gauge vector potential has been examined numerically for the case in which a weak random potential is also present.

Symmetry Breaking in Graphene’s Quantum Hall Regime: The Competition Between Interactions and Disorder
Yafis Barlas,Allan H. MacDonald,Kentaro Nomura +2 more
- 01 Jan 2014
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived a criterion for the occurrence of interaction-driven quantum Hall effects near intermediate integer values of e 2/h due to charge gaps in broken symmetry states in monolayer and bilayer graphene systems.

ν = 2 bilayer quantum Hall system in a tilted magnetic field
TL;DR: In this article, a theoretical study of a bilayer quantum Hall system with a magnetic field that has a component parallel to the layers is presented. And the authors show that the phase transition is driven by the competition between canted antiferromagnetic order and interlayer phase coherence in the presence of the parallel field.

Comment on "Coexistence of superconductivity and ferromagnetism in ferromagnetic metals".
TL;DR: It is argued that a single-band itinerant electron model with short-range interactions, proposed by Karchev et al. and investigated further by Jackiewicz et al, cannot describe the coexistence of superconducting and ferromagnetic order.
