Modified polymer optical fiber sensors for crude oil refractive index monitoring
Zahra Samavati,Alireza Samavati,Ahmad Fauzi Ismail,Noorhana Yahya,Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan Othman,Mukhlis A. Rahman +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a modified polymer optical fiber (POF) sensor was used to detect crude oil refractive index (RI) changes by removing the majority of cladding part until the thickness remains followed by the deposition of discontinuous silver (Ag) nanofilm as an inner layer and coating with different shapes of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanostructures including nanoparticles and horizontally and vertically oriented nanorods as an outer layer.
Intensity modulated silver coated glass optical fiber refractive index sensor
Zahra Samavati,Alireza Samavati,Ahmad Fauzi Ismail,Mukhlis A. Rahman,Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan Othman +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a novel Ag coated intensity modulated optical fiber sensor based on refractive index changes using IR and UV-Vis (UV-visible) light sources is proposed.
Structural and magnetic properties of Co-Al substituted Ni ferrites synthesized by co-precipitation method
TL;DR: In this paper, a co-precipitation of Ni ferrite nanopowders was investigated with simultaneous thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA).
Influence of cobalt on structural and magnetic properties of nickel ferrite nanoparticles
TL;DR: In this paper, a series of cobalt substituted nickel ferrite nanoparticles with composition Ni (1− x ) Co x Fe 2 O 4, where 0.0 was used to synthesize a co-precipitation method to improve the magnetic response of nanocrystalline nickel ferrites.
The role of titania on the microstructure, biocorrosion and mechanical properties of Mg/HA-based nanocomposites for potential application in bone repair
Shahrouz Zamani Khalajabadi,Norhayati Ahmad,Azli Yahya,Muhamad Azizi Mat Yajid,Alireza Samavati,Somayeh Asadi,Andril Arafat,Mohammed Rafiq Abdul Kadir +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of addition of TiO2 nanopowders on the corrosion behavior and mechanical properties of Mg/HA-based nanocomposites fabricated using a milling-pressing-sintering technique for medical applications was evaluated.
