Effects of substrate ion bombardment on characteristics of vacuum-arc plasma deposited hard coatings
Viorel Braic,D. Pavelescu,Mihai Balaceanu,C.N. Zoita,Mariana Braic,A. Kiss,Alina Vladescu +6 more
- 18 Nov 2008
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the energy and flux of the ions striking the substrate on the characteristics of the ZrCN coatings deposited by cathodic arc method was investigated for elemental and phase composition, chemical binding state, texture, residual stress, hardness, adhesion and tribological behavior.

Effect of Ion Bombardment on the Characteristics of Ti Based Biocompatible Coatings
TL;DR: In this paper, a comparative analysis of the coating characteristics for different substrate biasing conditions was performed, and the results showed that the TiN and TiAlN coatings were similar to those of the CoCr alloy, 316L stainless steel, and Si substrates.

Tunability of CuOx properties by gas flow rate control in the reactive DC magnetron sputtering
TL;DR: In this paper, the reactive magnetron sputtering process of the Cu target in Ar/O2 atmosphere is described in a wide interval of reactive gas flow rate fractions, ranging from 0 to 70 %.

Evaluation of Photocatalysis Effect of Stainless Steel Mesh Coated with Nitrides, Oxynitrides and Transition Metals Cr and Ti on the Degradation of Orange II Dye
Emile Salomon Massima Mouele,Mihaela Dinu,Anca C. Parau,Roland N. M. Missengue,Alina Vladescu,Leslie F. Petrik,Mariana Braic +6 more
- 11 Oct 2019
TL;DR: The increased detection of organic pollutants in drinking water and their resistance to degradation by wastewater treatment processes has motivated the development of more efficient, affordable and sustainable methods of purification of drinking water as mentioned in this paper.

MULTILAYER COATINGS OF TiNiNb SHAPE MEMORY ALLOYS
A. Kiss,Mariana Braic,Mihai Balaceanu,Alina Vladescu,Cosmin Mihai Cotrut,Viorel Braic +5 more
- 01 Jan 2007
TL;DR: In this article, the shape memory effect of the substrate was not affected by the coating and the results indicated that mono and multilayered coatings based on Ti and Zr nitrides obtained by vacuum arc deposition can improve the performance of TiNiNb alloy, used for biomedical applications.
