The pollutant emissions from diesel-engine vehicles and exhaust aftertreatment systems
TL;DR: In this article, the emissions from diesel engines and their control systems are reviewed and the legal restrictions on exhaust-gas emissions around the world and the effects of exhaust gas emissions on human health and environment are explained.
Biodiesel production from tall oil with synthesized Mn and Ni based additives: Effects of the additives on fuel consumption and emissions
TL;DR: In this article, a mixture of tall oil methyl ester (biodiesel) and fuel additive was used to improve the performance of a direct injection diesel engine at full load condition.

Alternative fuel properties of tall oil fatty acid methyl ester–diesel fuel blends
TL;DR: It was observed that the engine torque and power output with tall oil methyl ester-diesel fuel blends increased up to 6.1% and 5.9%, respectively, and the CO emissions and NO(x) emissions decreased and the smoke opacity did not vary significantly.

Influence of tall oil biodiesel with Mg and Mo based fuel additives on diesel engine performance and emission
TL;DR: Investigating influences of tall oil biodiesel with Mg and Mo based fuel additives on diesel engine performance and emission found both of the metal-based additives improved flash point, pour point and viscosity of the biodiesel fuel, depending on the rate of additives.

Biodiesel production from waste animal fat and improvement of its characteristics by synthesized nickel and magnesium additive.
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-step catalytic process for synthesis of biodiesel was studied by reacting waste animal fats with methanol, and the changes in viscosity and flash point of animal fat biodiesel were determined.
