Constraints and performance trade-offs in Auger-suppressed HgCdTe focal plane arrays.
Marco Vallone,Michele Goano,Francesco Bertazzi,Giovanni Ghione,Stefan Hanna,D. Eich,Alexander Sieck,H. Figgemeier +7 more
TL;DR: Looking for a trade-off, it was found that the path towards high-temperature operation has quite stringent requirements on the residual doping, whereas a reduction of the absorber thickness helps only moderately to reduce the dark current.

High-performance SWIR/MWIR and MWIR/MWIR bispectral MCT detectors by AIM
H. Figgemeier,Christopher Ames,Johannes Beetz,Rainer Breiter,D. Eich,Stefan Hanna,K.-M. Mahlein,T. Schallenberg,Alexander Sieck,J. Wenisch +9 more
- 14 May 2018
TL;DR: Results will be presented of AIM’s SWIR/MWIR, as well as MWIR/ MWIR bispectral MCT detectors with 320x256 pixels and a 30 μm pitch, which demonstrate very low color cross-talk, and an excellent NETD in conjunction with low defect densities.

Challenges in multiphysics modeling of dual-band HgCdTe infrared detectors
Marco Vallone,Michele Goano,Alberto Tibaldi,Stefan Hanna,D. Eich,Alexander Sieck,H. Figgemeier,Giovanni Ghione,Francesco Bertazzi +8 more
TL;DR: Three-dimensional simulations of HgCdTe-based focal plane arrays (FPAs) with two-color and dual-band sequential infrared pixels having realistic truncated-pyramid shape are presented, taking into account also the presence of compositionally graded transition layers.

Discovering the difference: bispectral MCT-based detectors by AIM
H. Figgemeier,Christopher Ames,Rainer Breiter,D. Eich,Stefan Hanna,H. Lutz,K.-M. Mahlein,T. Schallenberg,Alexander Sieck,J. Wenisch +9 more
- 07 May 2019
TL;DR: In this paper, a bispectral pixel with two indium bumps per cell allows for temporal and spatial coincidence, which can be used for target detection in front of strongly structured backgrounds or of targets with low thermal signature.

Challenges in multiphysics modeling of dual-band HgCdTe infrared detectors
Marco Vallone,Michele Goano,Alberto Tibaldi,Stefan Hanna,D. Eich,Alexander Sieck,H. Figgemeier,Giovanni Ghione,Francesco Bertazzi +8 more
- 01 Sep 2020
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented three-dimensional simulations of HgCdTe-based focal plane arrays (FPAs) with two-color and dual-band sequential infrared pixels having realistic truncated pyramid shape taking into account the presence of compositionally-graded transition layers.
