Continuous induction with lenalidomide/dexamethasone versus autologous stem cell transplantation in newly diagnosed multiple myeloma: a case for response-adapted approach
Oscar B Lahoud,Heather Landau,James Nguyen,Sean M. Devlin,Nikoletta Lendvai,J. Weltz,Tumininu Ayorinde,David J. Chung,Alexander M. Lesokhin,Tarun Kewalramani,Neha Korde,Sham Mailankody,Ola Landgren,Sergio Giralt,Raymond L. Comenzo,Hani Hassoun +15 more
TL;DR: An extended follow-up analysis of a phase 2 trial that randomized transplant-eligible patients with NDMM who responded to induction to continued induction or ASCT suggests the need for prospective trials incorporating response-adapted therapeutic approaches to NDMM.

Patterns of Cytokine Release Syndrome with Teclistamab in Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma with or without Prior T-Cell Redirection Therapy
Issam Hamadeh,Tala Shekarkhand,Colin Rueda,Ross Firestone,Alice Wang,Neha Korde,Malin Hultcrantz,Alexander M. Lesokhin,Sham Mailankody,Hani Hassoun,Urvi A Shah,Kylee H Maclachlan,Dhwani Patel,Gunjan L. Shah,Michael Scordo,Oscar B Lahoud,David Chung,Heather Landau,Sergio A. Giralt,Saad Usmani,C. Tan +20 more
TL;DR: This study investigated whether prior TCRT exposure impacts CRS rates with Tec in a real-world setting and found no prior exposure to a T CRT was associated with about a 5-fold increase in the incidence of CRS with Tec.

Intestinal Microbiota Composition Is Associated with Minimal Residual Disease Negativity in Patients with Multiple Myeloma
Matthew J. Pianko,Sean M. Devlin,Eric R. Littmann,Aisara Chansakul,Donna Mastey,Meghan Salcedo,Emily Fontana,Lilan Ling,Elizabet Tavitian,John B. Slingerland,Ann E. Slingerland,Annelie Clurman,Antonio L.C. Gomes,Ying Taur,Eric G. Pamer,Jonathan U. Peled,Marcel R.M. van den Brink,Ola Landgren,Alexander M. Lesokhin +18 more
TL;DR: A positive association with MRD negativity was noted with two butyrate-producing organisms, Eubacterium hallii and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, and a differential abundance analysis of these selected taxa in MRd(+) and MRD(-) patients at the genus and species level was performed.

Identifying Ultra-High Risk Smoldering Multiple Myeloma
Theresia Akhlaghi,Theresia Akhlaghi,Even H Rustad,Venkata Yellapantula,Neha Korde,Sham Mailankody,Nikoletta Lendvai,Alexander M. Lesokhin,Hani Hassoun,Sergio Giralt,Heather Landau,Eric L. Smith,Gunjan L. Shah,Michael Scordo,David J. Chung,Khalid Mezzi,Monica Khurana,Megan Braunlin,Winifred Werther,Ola Landgren,Malin Hultcrantz,Malin Hultcrantz +21 more
TL;DR: This study aimed at further identifying ultra-high risk biomarkers predictive of a high rate of progression to active multiple myeloma and found that immunoparesis with depression of 1 and 2 uninvolved immunoglobulins respectively, elevated lactate dehydrogenase, elevated beta-2-microglobulin, and low albumin were associated with significantly increased risk of progression.

Stem Cell Mobilization and Autograft Purity with Novel Induction Regimens in Multiple Myeloma
Susan Bal,Heather Landau,Gunjan L. Shah,Michael Scordo,Parastoo B. Dahi,Hani Hassoun,Malin Hultcrantz,Neha Korde,Alexander M. Lesokhin,Nikoletta Lendvai,Sham Mailankody,Eric L. Smith,Ola Landgren,Sergio Giralt,David J. Chung +14 more
TL;DR: KRD induces deeper clinical responses and greater stem cell graft purity than RVD without compromising stem cell yield or post-transplant engraftment kinetics, despite decreased viable CD34+ content of autografts and lower stem cell collection totals.
