Efficient metallic spintronic emitters of ultrabroadband terahertz radiation
Tom Seifert,Samridh Jaiswal,Samridh Jaiswal,Ulrike Martens,John Hannegan,Lukas Braun,Pablo Maldonado,Frank Freimuth,Alexander Kronenberg,J. Henrizi,Ilie Radu,Eric Beaurepaire,Yuriy Mokrousov,Peter M. Oppeneer,Martin Jourdan,Gerhard Jakob,Dmitry Turchinovich,L. M. Hayden,Martin Wolf,Markus Münzenberg,Mathias Kläui,Tobias Kampfrath +21 more
TL;DR: In this article, a W/CoFeB/Pt trilayer was used to generate a 1.30 THz range of trilayers from photo-induced spin currents, the inverse spin Hall effect and a broadband Fabry-Perot resonance.
Direct observation of half-metallicity in the Heusler compound Co2MnSi
Martin Jourdan,Jan Minár,Jürgen Braun,Alexander Kronenberg,Stanislav Chadov,Benjamin Balke,Andrei Gloskovskii,M. Kolbe,Hans-Joachim Elmers,Gerd Schönhense,Hubert Ebert,Claudia Felser,Mathias Kläui +12 more
TL;DR: This work investigates epitaxial thin films of the compound Co2MnSi in situ by ultraviolet-photoemission spectroscopy, taking advantage of a novel multi-channel spin filter and shows a highly spin polarized bulk-like surface resonance ingrained in a half metallic bulk band structure.
Monitoring surface resonances on Co2MnSi (100) by spin-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy
Jürgen Braun,Martin Jourdan,Alexander Kronenberg,Stanislav Chadov,Benjamin Balke,M. Kolbe,Andrei Gloskovskii,Hans-Joachim Elmers,Gerd Schönhense,Claudia Felser,M. Klaeui,H. Ebert,Jan Minár +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the surface resonance is embedded in the bulk continuum with a strong coupling to the majority bulk states, and the resonance behaves very bulk-like, as it extends over the first six atomic layers of the corresponding (001)-surface.

Spin Currents injected electrically and thermally from highly spin polarized Co$_2$MnSi
A Pfeiffer,Shaojie Hu,Robert M. Reeve,Alexander Kronenberg,Martin Jourdan,Takashi Kimura,Mathias Kläui +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the injection and detection of electrically and thermally generated spin currents probed in Co$_2$MnSi/Cu lateral spin valves was demonstrated, and the authors found that the temperature dependence of the signals is not just dominated by the transport in the Cu wire, but that there is a crucial contribution from the different generation mechanisms, which has been largely disregarded.

Magnetic configurations in nanostructured Co2MnGa thin film elements
Simone Finizio,Alexander Kronenberg,Mehran Vafaee,Michael Foerster,Kai Litzius,A de Lucia,T. O. Menteş,Lucia Aballe,Benjamin Krüger,Martin Jourdan,Mathias Kläui +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic configuration of nanostructured elements fabricated from thin films of the Heusler compound Co2MnGa was determined by high-resolution x-ray magnetic microscopy.
