Effect of SiO2 addition on structural and optical properties of Yb:Lu3Al5O12 transparent ceramics based on laser ablated nanopowders
Liza Basyrova,Roman N. Maksimov,Roman N. Maksimov,Vladislav A. Shitov,Mikhail A. Baranov,Vladimir Mikhaylovsky,Alexander Khubetsov,Olga Dymshits,Xavier Mateos,Pavel Loiko +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of the sintering aid (tetraethoxysilane, TEOS, up to 1 wt%, equivalent to 0.28% of SiO2 addition) on the micro-structural and optical properties of the ceramics is revealed.

Effect of yttrium oxide on the crystallization of glasses of the MgO–Al 2 O 3 –SiO 2 system, nucleated by a mix of titanium and zirconium dioxides, and the transparency of glass--crystalline materials in the superhigh-frequency spectral region
TL;DR: In this article, the phase transformations that accompany the crystallization of glasses of the MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 system with an additive of yttrium oxide, nucleated by a mix of titanium and zirconium dioxides are discussed.

Transparent glass-ceramics based on Co2+-doped γ-GaxAl2-xO3 spinel nanocrystals for passive Q-switching of Er lasers
Olga Dymshits,Vladimir Vitkin,Irina Alekseeva,Alexander Khubetsov,M. Tsenter,Anton Polishchuk,Anna Volokitina,Josep Maria Serres,Xavier Mateos,Alexander A. Zhilin,Pavel Loiko +10 more
TL;DR: Transparent glass-ceramics (GCs) based on Co2+-doped γ-GaxAl2−xO3 spinel nanocrystals were developed in the lithium aluminogallosilicate glass system with TiO2 as a nucleating agent as discussed by the authors.

Phase transformations in glass of the MgO–Al 2 O 3 –SiO 2 –TiO 2 system doped with yttrium oxide
TL;DR: In this article, phase transformations upon crystallization of glasses in a magnesium-aluminosilicate system nucleated with TiO2 as a nucleating agent, both doped and undoped with yttrium oxide, which were thermally treated in single and two-stage modes in the temperature range 750-1200°C, have been investigated.
