- 01 Nov 2023
TL;DR: This study re-sequences 150 white jute accessions, identifying 3.3M SNPs and 1.2M InDels, and reveals genetic diversity, population dynamics, and improvement insights, including 12 candidate genes for breeding and 3 bottlenecks in population history due to climate change and human activities.
Insights into the mechanism of multi-walled carbon nanotubes phytotoxicity in Arabidopsis through transcriptome and m6A methylome analysis
Zemao Yang,Deng Canhui,Yupeng Wu,Dai Zhigang,Tang Qing,Cheng Chaohua,Xu Ying,Rong Hu,Liu Chan,Xiaojun Chen,Xiaoyu Zhang,Alei Li,Xinghua Xiong,Su Jianguang,An Yan,An Yan +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of high concentrations of multi-walled CNTs (MWCNTs) on Arabidopsis root elongation and leaf development were severely inhibited after MWCNT exposure.
Multi-omics provides new insights into the domestication and improvement of dark jute (Corchorus olitorius).
Zemao Yang,Shilin Tian,Xiangkong Li,Zhigang Dai,An Yan,Zhong Chen,Jiquan Chen,Qi Tang,Chaohua Cheng,Ying Xu,Canhui Deng,Chan Liu,Ling Kang,Dongwei Xie,Jian Zhao,Xiaojun Chen,Xiaoyuan Zhang,Yupeng Wu,Alei Li,Jianguang Su +19 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that dark jute underwent early domestication and a relatively moderate genetic bottleneck during improvement breeding, and it is speculated that an encoding auxin/indole-3-acetic acid protein COS07g_00652 could enhance the flexibility and strength of the stem to improve fibre yield.
