Chlorinated dioxins and dibenzofurans in human tissues from general populations: a selective review
Arnold Schecter,Peter Fürst,Christiane Fürst,Olaf Päpke,M. Ball,John J. Ryan,Hoang Dinh Cau,Le Cao Dai,Hoang Trong Quynh,H. Q. Cuong,Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong,Pham Hoang Phiet,Albert Beim,John D. Constable,James R. Startin,My Samedy,Yit Kim Seng +16 more
TL;DR: To present the findings in a global perspective, data from widely different locations are presented including the United States, Germany, Vietnam, the former Soviet Union, Thailand, Cambodia, China, South Africa, and Guam.

Dioxins, dibenzofurans and selected chlorinated organic compounds in human milk and blood from Cambodia, Germany, Thailand, the U.S.A., the U.S.S.R., and Vietnam
Arnold Schecter,Peter Fürst,Christiane Fürst,Olaf Päpke,M. Ball,Le Cao Dai,Hoang Tri Quynh,Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phoung,Albert Beim,Boris Vlasov,Vassant Chongchet,John D. Constable,Karan Charles +12 more
TL;DR: The authors reported general population blood polychlorinated dioxin and dibenzofuran (PCDD/F) levels for various geographical regions in the north and south of Vietnam in pooled samples from 112 persons, the results of 85 individual analyses of blood from Germany, and levels from a pool of whole blood from 100 U.S. residents.

Levels of dioxins, dibenzofurans and other chlorinated xenobiotics in human milk from the Soviet Union
Arnold Schecter,Peter Fürst,Christiane Fürst,Wilhelm Groebel,S. G. Kolesnikov,Michail Savchenkov,Albert Beim,Alexander Boldonov,Edward Trubitsun,Boris Vlasov +9 more
TL;DR: For the first time, levels of PCDD/Fs in human tissue from the Soviet Union were investigated in this article, showing that levels of DDT and alpha and beta HCH were higher in the USSR samples than in some heavily industrialized countries such as West Germany (FRG) or U.S. (USSR).

Levels of chlorinated dioxins, dibenzofurans and other chlorinated xenobiotics in food from the Soviet Union and the south of Vietnam
Arnold Schecter,Peter Fürst,Christiane Fürst,Wilhelm Groebel,John D. Constable,Sergei Kolesnikov,Albert Beim,Alexander Boldonov,Edward Trubitsun,Boris Vlasov,Hoang Dinh Cau,Le Cau Dai,Hoang Tri Quynh +12 more
TL;DR: PCDD/F levels in food from the Soviet Union are reported here for the first time and compared with levels found in Vietnamese food, reported on a whole weight or lipid basis, and with some newly reported German food data, presented in detail in a separate paper in this volume.

Dioxin and dibenzofuran levels in human blood samples from Guam, Russia, Germany, Vietnam and the USA
Arnold Schecter,Olaf Päpke,M. Ball,Michael Grachev,Albert Beim,Valentin Koptug,Hoang Dinh Cau,Le Cao Dai,Hoang Tri Quynh,Nguyen Ngoc Thi Phuong,Huynh Kim Chi +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis of general population human blood from various geographical locations for polychlorinated dibenzodioxins (PCDD) and poly-chlorinated Dibenzofurans (PCDF) was performed to compare levels of human and environmental contamination at the present time.
