TL;DR: These rabbits, while showing only a slight reduction of plasma cholesterol levels, as compared to cholesterol-fed (h.c.) animals, show a marked decrease of the aortic cholesterol esters and atheromatous process, in the presence of marked hypercholesteremia, exemplify a case of altered lipoprotein composition and decreased at heromatosis.

TL;DR: The design of Goal Achievement After Utilizing an Anti‐PCSK9 Antibody in Statin‐Intolerant Subjects 3 (GAUSS‐3), a phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double‐blind, ezetimibe‐controlled study to compare effectiveness of 24 weeks of evolocumab 420 mg monthly vs ezentimibe 10 mg daily in hypercholesterolemic patients unable to tolerate an effective statin dose, is reported.

TL;DR: Ezetimibe/statin combination regimens arguably provide the greatest likelihood for patients to reach new, lower LDL-C targets; however, efficacy and safety data of any adjunctive treatment, along with drug costs and patient adherence to treatment (partly related to complexity of the regimen) all need to be considered when determining the optimal regimen.

TL;DR: The data show that experimental murine tumours express the LDL receptor and suggest that the high relative in vivo uptake of LDL is determined by the elevated LDL-receptor expression in the tumours.
