Histone deacetylase is a metallo-enzyme with zinc at the active site. Compounds having a zinc-binding moiety, such as, for example, a hydroxamic acid group or a carboxylic acid group, can inhibit histone deacetylase. Histone deacetylase can repress gene expression, including expression of genes related to tumor suppression. Accordingly, inhibition of histone deacetylase can provide an alternate route for treating cancer, hematological disorders, e.g., hemoglobinopathies, and genetic related metabolic disorders, e.g., cystic fibrosis and adrenoleukodystrophy.

The present invention relates to compositions, in particular within a fungicide composition, which comprises (A) a dithiino-tetracarboximide of formula (I) and a further fungicidally active compound (B). Moreover, the invention relates to a method for curatively or preventively controlling the phytopathogenic fungi of plants or crops, to the use of a combination according to the invention for the treatment of seed, to a method for protecting a seed and to the treated seed.

The invention relates to novel spiroketal-substituted cyclic ketoenols of formula (I), where A, B, Q1, Q2, D, G, W, X, Y, and Z have the given meanings, method and intermediates for production thereof and use thereof as pesticide and/or microbicide and/or herbicide. The invention further relates to selective herbicidal agents, containing the spiroketal-substituted cyclic ketoenols and a compound improving the compatibility with cultivated plants.

The invention relates to new compounds of the formula (I) in which W, X, Y, Z and CKE have the meanings given above, to a plurality of processes and intermediates for their preparation and to their use as pesticides and/or herbicides, and also to selective herbicidal compositions comprising, firstly, the compounds of the formula (I) and, secondly, at least one crop plant compatibility enhancer compound. The invention relates further to boosting the activity of crop protection compositions comprising compounds of the formula (I) by adding ammonium salts or phosphonium salts and, if appropriate, penetrants.

New phenyl-substituted cyclic ketoenols are disclosed having the formula (I), in which Het stands for one of the groups (1), (2), (3) and (4), in which A, B, D, G, X and Z have the meanings given in the description. Also disclosed are several processes and intermediate products for preparing the same and their use as pesticides.

2- and 2,5-substituted phenylketoenols

The invention relates to new arylphenyl-substituted cyclic keto-enols of the formula (I), where X is halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, alkylthio, alkyl sulfinyl, alkyl sulfonyl, halogen alkyl, halogen alkoxy, halogen alkenyloxy, nitro, cyano, or a phenyl, phenoxy, phenylthio, phenylalkoxy or phenylalkylthio which each can possibly be substituted; Y is a cycloalkyl, aryl or hetaryl which each can possibly be substituted; Z is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, halogen alkyl, halogen alkoxy, halogen alkenyloxy, nitro or cyano; and CKE is one of groups (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8), where A, B, D, G and Q1 to Q6 have the meanings given in the description. The invention also relates to several method for producing the above cyclic keto-enols and their use as pesticides and herbicides.

New compounds have the formula (I), in which X stands for halogen, Y stands for halogen or alkyl and Z stands for halogen or alkyl, provided that one of the residues Y and Z always stands for halogen and the other for alkyl, and Het stands for one of the groups (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) or (6), in which A, B, D, and G have the meanings given in the description. Also disclosed are several processes for preparing said compounds and their use as pesticides and herbicides.
