Combined pituitary hormone deficiency: current and future status
Frederic Castinetti,Rachel Reynaud,Marie-Helene Quentien,Nicolas Jullien,E. Marquant,Claire Rochette,James P. Herman,Alexandru Saveanu,Anne Barlier,Alain Enjalbert,Thierry Brue +10 more
TL;DR: The aim of this review is to summarize the main etiologies and phenotypes of combined pituitary hormone deficiencies, associated or not with extra-pituitary anomalies, and to suggest how the identification of such etiology could be improved in the near future.

Gs alpha overexpression and loss of Gs alpha imprinting in human somatotroph adenomas: association with tumor size and response to pharmacologic treatment.
Christophe Picard,Monique Silvy,Corinne Gerard,Christophe Buffat,Esteban Lavaque,Dominique Figarella-Branger,H. Dufour,Jean Gabert,Albert Beckers,Thierry Brue,Alain Enjalbert,Anne Barlier +11 more
TL;DR: High Gsα expression in gsp‐ tumors was associated with smaller tumor size and better octreotide sensitivity, and the methylation status of exon 1A DMR was not modified in relaxed tumors, showing the complexity of gene regulation in the GNAS locus.

Differential Involvement of the Ras and Rap1 Small GTPases in Vasoactive Intestinal and Pituitary Adenylyl Cyclase Activating Polypeptides Control of the Prolactin Gene
TL;DR: Interestingly, Ras would be involved as a negative regulator of VIP/PACAP-induced PRL gene activation, in contrast to its stimulatory role in the regulation of the PRL promoter by TRH and EGF.

Modifications in the cortical regional distribution of choline acetyltransferase, somatostatin and somatostatin binding sites in the normal rat and following lesion of the nucleus basalis.
TL;DR: In rats, cortical somatostatin receptors could be associated with cholinergic afferents from the nucleus basalis in the frontal cortex only, and a significant correlation was found in the controls between the regional distribution of choline acetyltransferase activity and som atostatin concentrations.

Vasoactive Intestinal Polypeptide and Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-Activating Polypeptides Stimulate Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase in the Pituitary Cell Line GH4C1 by a 3′,5′-Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate Pathway
Caroline Le Pechon-Vallée,Karine Magalon,Ramahefarizo Rasolonjanahary,Alain Enjalbert,Corinne Gerard +4 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated for the first time that VIP and PACAP38 activate ERK in GH4C1 cells and is likely to represent the transduction pathway underlying VIP- andPACAP38-dependent ERK activation.
