Somatostatin receptor sst2 gene transfer in human prolactinomas in vitro: impact on sensitivity to dopamine, somatostatin and dopastatin, in the control of prolactin secretion.
Thomas Cuny,Amira Mohamed,Thomas Graillon,Catherine Roche,Céline Defilles,Anne-Laure Germanetti,Bettina Couderc,Dominique Figarella-Branger,Alain Enjalbert,Alain Enjalbert,Anne Barlier,Anne Barlier,Alexandru Saveanu,Alexandru Saveanu +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors hypothesized that somatostatin subtype 2 receptor (sst2) overexpression in DA-resistant prolactinomas may enhance suppression of prolactine (PRL) using chimeric agonist (dopastatin) that simultaneously binds sst2 and the dopamine subtype two receptor (D2DR).

Midbrain raphe lesion in the newborn rat: II. Biochemical alterations in serotoninergic innervation
Sylvie Bourgoin,Sylvie Bourgoin,Alain Enjalbert,Alain Enjalbert,Joëlle Adrien,Joëlle Adrien,Francis Hery,Francis Hery,Michel Hamon,Michel Hamon +9 more
TL;DR: Electrolytic raphe lesion was performed in 4-6-day-old rats and the resulting changes of 5HT metabolism within the central nervous system were analyzed up to 9 months later and would suggest that the remaining serotoninergic neurons in the lesioned rats did not develop a compensatory hyperactivity.

Activation of the CD3/T cell receptor (TcR) complex or of protein kinase C potentiate adenylyl cyclase stimulation in a tumoral T cell line: involvement of two distinct intracellular pathways.
Claire Bihoreau,Agnès Heurtier,Alain Enjalbert,Nicole Corvaïa,Armand Bensussan,Laurent Degos,Claude Kordon +6 more
TL;DR: The data indicate that cAMP accumulation indirectly elicited by phospholipase C activation is, at least partly, mediated by IP‐dependent Ca2+ mobilization, while PKC is preferentially effective as an inhibitor of PGE2 stimulation.

Effect of corticotropin-releasing factor on the release and synthesis of prolactin.
Gérard Morel,Alain Enjalbert,Louise Proulx,Georges Pelletier,Nicholas Barden,Francis Grossard,Paul M. Dubois +6 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that CRF is a factor which can modulate PRL release but not the synthesis of PRL, and in situ hybridization of whole pituitary slices showed that rat CRF injection significantly increased the labeling of corticotrophs using an ACTH-cDNA probe, but had no significant effect on the labeled of lactotrophic cells using a PRL riboprobe.

Pit-1 Gene Expression in Human Pituitary Adenomas
TL;DR: It is shown that pituitary tumorigenesis does not seem to be associated with a gross alteration of Pit-1 gene expression in humans, and a key role for the beta-isoform in the cell type-specific expression of the GH and PRL genes in humans is not in favor.
