Combined pituitary hormone deficiency due to the F135C human Pit-1 (pituitary-specific factor 1) gene mutation: functional and structural correlates.
Sophie Vallette-Kasic,I. Pellegrini-Bouiller,F. Sampieri,Ginette Gunz,Adriana Graciela Díaz,Sally Radovick,Alain Enjalbert,Thierry Brue +7 more
TL;DR: According to structural data derived from the crystallographic analysis of the DNA/Pit-1 POU domain complex, the conformation of the first helix of the F135C-mutated POU-specific domain could be perturbed to such an extent that any interaction with other transcription cofactors might be definitively prevented.
GnRH signalling pathways and GnRH-induced homologous desensitization in a gonadotrope cell line (alphaT3-1).
B. Poulin,N. Rich,J.-L Mas,Claude Kordon,Alain Enjalbert,Alain Enjalbert,Sophia V. Drouva,Sophia V. Drouva +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of short as well as long term GnRH pretreatments on the GnRH-induced phospholipases-C (PLC), -A2 (PLA2) and -D (PLD) activities were investigated by measuring the production of IP3, total inositol phosphates (IPs), arachidonic acid (AA) and phosphatidylethanol (PEt).

Case Report of GNAS Epigenetic Defect Revealed by a Congenital Hypothyroidism
Pauline Romanet,Lindsay Osei,Irene Netchine,Morgane Pertuit,Alain Enjalbert,Rachel Reynaud,Anne Barlier,Anne Barlier +7 more
TL;DR: A case of PHP caused by epigenetic changes in GNAS in a patient with congenital hypothyroidism is reported, adding a new cause of the disease to the known onsets of PHP1B and emphasizes the need for a new PHP classification system.

Somatostatin receptors on cortical neurones and adenohypophysis: comparison between specific binding and adenylate cyclase inhibition.
Hervé Chneiweiss,Ph. Bertrand,Jacques Epelbaum,Claude Kordon,Jacques Glowinski,Joël Prémont,Alain Enjalbert +6 more
TL;DR: Results support the hypothesis that SSA is the somatostatin receptor coupled with an adenylate cyclase, and a good correlation was found between the order of potencies of som atostatin analogs evaluated from binding experiments and adenYLate Cyclase assays, suggesting the presence of the same receptor observed under two different affinity states.

Multiple transduction mechanisms of dopamine, somatostatin and angiotensin II receptors in anterior pituitary cells.
TL;DR: Dopamine and somatostatin receptors appear coupled to various transduction mechanisms through pertussis-sensitive G proteins in anterior pituitary cells.
