Molecular docking and dynamics study of natural compound for potential inhibition of main protease of SARS-CoV-2.
Shafi Mahmud,Mohammad Abu Raihan Uddin,Meemtaheena Zaman,Khaled Mahmud Sujon,Ekhtiar Rahman,Mobasshir Noor Shehab,Ariful Islam,Wasim Alom,Al Amin,Al Shahriar Akash,Abu Saleh +10 more
TL;DR: This study presents a perfect model for SARS-CoV-2 main protease inhibition through bioinformatics study and considers plant-derived natural compounds as potential drug candidates to assist the researchers to find a superior and effective solution against COVID-19 after future experiments.

Computational discovery of plant-based inhibitors against human carbonic anhydrase IX and molecular dynamics simulation
Shafi Mahmud,Ekhtiar Rahman,Zulkar Nain,Mutasim Billah,Sumon Karmakar,Sumon Chandro Mohanto,Gobindo Kumar Paul,Al Amin,Uzzal Kumar Acharjee,Md. Abu Saleh +9 more
TL;DR: Analysis of protein-protein interactions and co-expression revealed the possible association of CA9 gene with other tumorous genes, especially angiogenesis factor HIF1A which will most likely be affected by the identified inhibitors.

Targeting SARS-CoV-2 nonstructural protein 15 endoribonuclease: an in silico perspective
Shafi Mahmud,Abdo A. Elfiky,Al Amin,Sumon Chandro Mohanto,Ekhtiar Rahman,Uzzal Kumar Acharjee,Abu Saleh +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, molecular docking is utilized to test some previously approved drugs against the SARS-CoV-2 nonstructural protein 15 (Nsp15), from which three (saquinavir, valrubicin, and aprepitant) show a paramount predicted binding affinity (-9.1, -9.6, and −9.2 kcal/mol, respectively) against Nsp15.

Phylogeny of Eryx Jayakari Isolated from Ha’il Province
Ahmed M. Alshammari,Shafi Mahmud,Al Amin,Adel A. Ibrahim,Eman El-Abd +4 more
- 01 Jul 2020
TL;DR: It can be concluded that E. jayakari in Hail might be disseminated from Iran, and 12S rRNA gene sequences showed a higher diversification than the 16S r RNA gene sequences in inferring the phylogenetic relationships for E.Jaykari.
