Macromolecular recognition and macroscopic interactions by cyclodextrins.
Akira Harada,Yoshinori Takashima +1 more
TL;DR: It is found that CDs form inclusion complexes with various polymers with high selectivity and macroscopic self-assembly through molecular recognition has been discovered.

Preparation and characterization of inclusion complexes of poly(alkyl vinyl ether) with cyclodextrins
TL;DR: In this paper, γ-Cyclodextrin (γ-CD) has been found to form inclusion complexes with poly(methyl vinyl ether) (PMVE), poly(ethyl vinyl ether (PEVE), and poly(n-propyl vinyl ether(PnPVE) of various molecular weights to give stoichiometric compounds in crystalline states.

Supramolecular hydrogels formed from poly(viologen) cross-linked with cyclodextrin dimers and their physical properties.
TL;DR: The formation of supramolecular hydrogels with an α-CD dimer (α,α- CD dimer) as a topological linker molecule, and a viologen polymer (VP) as the polymer chain is reported.

Formation of organized structures in systems of polyelectrolyte-ionic surfactants
Akira Harada,Shun-ichi Nozakura +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the interaction of polyelectrolytes with ionic surfactants is studied by turbidimetry and electron micrography, and a multilayer structure is observed only at the mole ratio of PVS:CTAB=2∶1 with a spacing of about 25A.

Reactions of organometallic complexes included in cyclodextrins: reactivity of alkyldicarbonyl(η5-cyclopentadienyl)iron complexes towards carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide in the solid state
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of inclusion by cyclodextrin towards the insertion reactions strongly depends on the type of cyclodesxtrins used and the insertion reaction was investigated.
