CD206+ M2-like macrophages regulate systemic glucose metabolism by inhibiting proliferation of adipocyte progenitors
Allah Nawaz,Aminuddin Aminuddin,Tomonobu Kado,Akiko Takikawa,Seiji Yamamoto,Koichi Tsuneyama,Koichi Tsuneyama,Yoshiko Igarashi,Masashi Ikutani,Yasuhiro Nishida,Yoshinori Nagai,Yoshinori Nagai,Kiyoshi Takatsu,Johji Imura,Masakiyo Sasahara,Yukiko Okazaki,Kohjiro Ueki,Tadashi Okamura,Kumpei Tokuyama,Akira Ando,Michihiro Matsumoto,Hisashi Mori,Takashi Nakagawa,Norihiko Kobayashi,Kumiko Saeki,Isao Usui,Shiho Fujisaka,Kazuyuki Tobe +27 more
TL;DR: It is shown that M2-like macrophages in adipose tissue regulate systemic glucose homeostasis by inhibiting adipocyte progenitor proliferation via the CD206/TGFβ signaling pathway and, thereby, control adiposity and systemic insulin sensitivity.
Effect of skipping breakfast for 6 days on energy metabolism and diurnal rhythm of blood glucose in young healthy Japanese males.
Hitomi Ogata,Hitomi Ogata,Momoko Kayaba,Yoshiaki Tanaka,Katsuhiko Yajima,Kaito Iwayama,Akira Ando,Insung Park,Ken Kiyono,Naomi Omi,Makoto Satoh,Kumpei Tokuyama +11 more
TL;DR: Sedentary lifestyle and repeated breakfast skipping caused abnormal glucose fluctuations, whereas 24-h energy metabolism remained unaffected, and there were no significant differences in 24-H energy expenditure and substrate oxidation.

Effect of a single bout of exercise on clock gene expression in human leukocyte
Yoshiaki Tanaka,Hitomi Ogata,Momoko Kayaba,Akira Ando,Insung Park,Katsuhiko Yajima,Akihiro Araki,Chihiro Suzuki,Haruka Osumi,Simeng Zhang,Asuka Ishihara,Keigo Takahashi,Junichi Shoda,Yoshiharu Nabekura,Makoto Satoh,Kumpei Tokuyama +15 more
TL;DR: A potential role of a single bout of exercise to modify peripheral clocks in humans is suggested and diurnal changes of clock gene expression in leukocytes are assessed.

Effects of Capsinoid Intake on Brown Adipose Tissue Vascular Density and Resting Energy Expenditure in Healthy, Middle-Aged Adults: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study.
Sayuri Fuse,Tasuki Endo,Riki Tanaka,Miyuki Kuroiwa,Akira Ando,Ayami Kume,Akiko Yamamoto,Kanna Kuribayashi,Shinji Somekawa,Masamichi Takeshita,Masaki Hashimoto,Ryotaro Kime,Yuko Kurosawa,Takafumi Hamaoka +13 more
TL;DR: Capsinoids enhanced [total-Hb]sup, a reflection of BAT-d, showing a good correlation with REE in Subhealthy, was shown to be positive, and CI enhanced [ total-HB]sup enhanced, a reflections of BAT -d, showed a good correlated with REe in Sub healthy.

Effect of a single bout of morning or afternoon exercise on glucose fluctuation in young healthy men.
Yoshiaki Tanaka,Hitomi Ogata,Insung Park,Akira Ando,Asuka Ishihara,Momoko Kayaba,Katsuhiko Yajima,Chihiro Suzuki,Akihiro Araki,Haruka Osumi,Simeng Zhang,Jaehoon Seol,Keigo Takahashi,Yoshiharu Nabekura,Makoto Satoh,Kumpei Tokuyama +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the timing (morning or afternoon) of exercise on glucose fluctuation on the basis of several indices: glycemic variability over 24 h (24-h SD), J-index, mean amplitude of glucose excursions (MAGE), continuous overall net glycemic action (CONGA), and detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA).
