The effect of polymorphism of genes of xenobiotics detoxication on the frequencies of spontaneous and induced chromosome aberrations in human lymphocytes
Sal'nikova Le,Akaeva Ea,Elisova Tv,Kuznetsova Gi,Kuz'mina Ns,I. N. Vesnina,Lapteva NSh,Chumachenko Ag,Romanchuk Va,Rubanovich Av +9 more
TL;DR: The frequency of gamma-induced chromosome aberrations in lymphocytes of peripheral blood of 97 volunteers depending on genotypes by genes of xenobiotics detoxication before and after gamma-irradiation with dose of 1 Gy in vitro was correlated with the total amount of minor alleles in loci GSTP1, NAT2, and MTHFR.

Genotype dependence of cytogenetic and epidemiological characteristics in the liquidators of the accident at the ChNPP
Sal'nikova Le,Fomin Dk,Elisova Tv,Akaeva Ea,Kuz'mina Ns,Lapteva NSh,Nilova In,Iofa El,Kostina Ln,Kuznetsova Gi,Kulikova Ta,Panushkina Og,Rubanovich Av +12 more
TL;DR: This genotype has proved to be protective for patients with severe cardiovascular diseases and in liquidators with acute circulation disturbances, and has been found to be preserved in the group of liquidators examined in 2006-2007.

The cytogenetic effects in the population of the Altai Territory subjected to ionizing radiation exposure as a result of the nuclear explosions at the Semipalatinsk proving grounds
Shevchenko Va,Snigireva Gp,Suskov,Akaeva Ea,Elisova Tn,Iofa El,Nilova In,Kostina Ln,Novitskaia Nn,Sidorova Vf +9 more
TL;DR: The cytogenetic examination of 178 persons living in seven settlements of the Altai region exposed to ionizing radiation during Semipalatinsk nuclear tests in 1949-1962 was carried out, it was shown that more than 80% of absorbed dose was due to the first nuclear explosion in 1949.

The cytogenetic effects in persons who suffered as a result of the accident at the Chernobyl Atomic Electric Power Station
TL;DR: Results showed a satisfactory correlation between the frequencies of dicentrics per chromosome detected by routine and computer methods and corresponded to the equivalent whole body dose up to about 1 Gy.

The problem of the transgeneration phenomenon of genome instability in sick children of different age groups after the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant
Suskov In,Agadzhanian Av,Kuz'mina Ns,Elisova Tv,Iofa El,Nilova In,Akaeva Ea,Kuznetsova Gi,Rubanovich Av,Tskhovrebova Lv,Baleva Ls,Sipiagina Ae +11 more
TL;DR: The analysis of the dynamics years of birth of cytogenetic disturbances in the same cohorts of children showed the average frequencies of aberrant genomes remain higher than the control level, and in most of the children of both cohorts the repair synthesis of genome DNA by gamma- and UV-radiation is reduced.
