Carbon exchanges and their responses to temperature and precipitation in forest ecosystems in Yunnan, Southwest China.
Xuehai Fei,Qinghai Song,Yiping Zhang,Yuntong Liu,Liqing Sha,Guirui Yu,Leiming Zhang,Changqun Duan,Yun Deng,Chuan-Sheng Wu,Zhiyun Lu,Kang Luo,Aiguo Chen,Xu Kun,Liu Weiwei,Huang Hua,Yanqiang Jin,Ruiwu Zhou,Jing Li,Youxing Lin,Liguo Zhou,Yane Fu,Xiaolong Bai,Xianhui Tang,Jinbo Gao,Wenjun Zhou,John Grace +26 more
TL;DR: It is found that considerable changes in the NEE could not be explained by variations in the temperature and precipitation, and the effects of other factors still require extensive research and need to be considered seriously in carbon-cycle-models.

Yanqiang Jin,Jing Li,Jing Li,Chenggang Liu,Yuntong Liu,Yiping Zhang,Liqing Sha,Zhe Wang,Qinghai Song,Youxing Lin,Youxing Lin,Ruiwu Zhou,Ruiwu Zhou,Aiguo Chen,Peiguang Li,Xuehai Fei,Xuehai Fei,John Grace +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a precipitation exclusion experiment was performed to simulate different drought intensities in a savanna ecosystem in Yuanjiang valley in southwestern China, and growth, total NSC concentration and diurnal change of NSC were determined for the leaves and non-photosynthetic organs of three dominant species (Lannea coromandelica, Polyalthia cerasoides and Heteropogon contortus) throughout the growing season.
The influence of drought strength on soil respiration in a woody savanna ecosystem, southwest China
Yuntong Liu,Jing Li,Jing Li,Yanqiang Jin,Yanqiang Jin,Yiping Zhang,Liqing Sha,John Grace,Qinghai Song,Wenjun Zhou,Aiguo Chen,Peiguang Li,Shubin Zhang +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-year drought experiment in a woody savanna ecosystem in south west of China, which consisted of four treatments: a control treatment (CK), 30% precipitation exclusion (PE3), 50% precipitation inclusion (PE5), and 70% precipitation elimination (PE7), was conducted to investigate how soil respiration would respond to different levels of precipitation exclusion.

Precipitation reduction alters herbaceous community structure and composition in a savanna
Yanqiang Jin,Jing Li,Jing Li,Chenggang Liu,Yuntong Liu,Yiping Zhang,Qinghai Song,Liqing Sha,D. Balasubramanian,Aiguo Chen,Daxin Yang,Peiguang Li +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a four-year (2014-2017) precipitation manipulation experiment to examine changes in herbaceous community composition and structure across the species, functional group and community levels under precipitation reduction.

Patterns and Controls of Light Use Efficiency in Four Contrasting Forest Ecosystems in Yunnan, Southwest China
Xuehai Fei,Xuehai Fei,Qinghai Song,Yiping Zhang,Guirui Yu,Leiming Zhang,Liqing Sha,Yuntong Liu,Xu Kun,Hui Chen,Chuan-Sheng Wu,Aiguo Chen,Shubin Zhang,Liu Weiwei,Huang Hua,Yun Deng,Hai-Lang Qin,Peiguang Li,John Grace +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used eddy covariance to explore spatiotemporal variations and controls of LUE in four contrasting forest ecosystems (savanna, tropical rainforest, subtropical evergreen forest, and subalpine coniferous forest).
