Hendriks,Jean-Laurent Casanova,Ido Amit,Hans Yssel,James P. Di Santo,James P. Di Santo +40 more
TL;DR: The results support a model of tissue ILC differentiation ("ILC-poiesis"), whereby diverse ILC subsets are generated in situ from systemically distributed ILCPs in response to local environmental signals.

TL;DR: Patients with an autosomal recessive form of HIES due to loss-of-function mutations of a previously uncharacterized gene, ZNF341 are described, revealing a Previously unappreciated layer of transcriptional regulation controlling JAK-STAT signaling.
ILC-poiesis: Ensuring tissue ILC differentiation at the right place and time.
TL;DR: An alternative model of “ILC‐poiesis” is proposed, whereby blood ILC precursors migrate into tissues to complete their differentiation into mature ILC subsets under the influence of local environmental factors.

A human immune system mouse model with robust lymph node development.

TL;DR: An improved model that harbors lymph nodes and therefore permits investigation of local human adaptive immune processes in secondary lymphoid tissue is reported and it is demonstrated that LN TFH cells are targets of acute HIV infection and represent a reservoir for latent HIV.

Developmental options and functional plasticity of innate lymphoid cells.
Ai Ing Lim,Ai Ing Lim,Thomas Verrier,Thomas Verrier,Christian A. J. Vosshenrich,Christian A. J. Vosshenrich,James P. Di Santo,James P. Di Santo +7 more
TL;DR: These new results suggest that while ILC differentiation may be 'fixed' in principle, it remains 'flexible' in practice, and a more comprehensive knowledge in the molecular mechanisms that regulate ILC development and effector functions may allow for therapeutic manipulation of ILCs for diverse disease conditions.
