Relationships between Neurofibromatosis-2, Progesterone Receptor Expression, the Use of Exogenous Progesterone, and Risk of Orbitocranial Meningioma in Females
Agus Supartoto,Muhammad Bayu Sasongko,Datu Respatika,Indra Tri Mahayana,Suhardjo Pawiroranu,Hari Kusnanto,Dhimas Hari Sakti,Prima Sugesty Nurlaila,Didik Setyo Heriyanto,Sofia Mubarika Haryana +9 more
TL;DR: It was shown that the longer the exposure to exogenous progesterone, the lower the expression of PR and NF2 mRNA in the serum, suggesting that low PR expression and inactivation of NF2 might play a key role in progester one-associated meningioma tumorigenesis and may be potential clinical marker for females at higher risk of mening ioma.
Exposure to Exogenous Female Sex Hormones is Associated with Increased Risk of Orbito-Cranial Meningioma in Females: A Case-Control Study
Agus Supartoto,Indra Tri Mahayana,Reinne Natali Christine,Suhardjo,Angela Nurini Agni,Mohammad Bayu Sasongko +5 more
TL;DR: The use of hormonal contraception containing progesterone was associated with increased risk of developing orbitocranial meningioma in females, and this finding highlights the public health importance of the use oformonal contraception and suggests that further studies to understand its mechanisms are warranted.

Changes in interleukin-6 tear concentration and clinical outcome in moderate-to-severe bacterial corneal ulcers after corneal collagen cross-linking.
Marzarendra Dhion Erlangga,Indra Tri Mahayana,Jajah Fachiroh,Angela Nurini Agni,Agus Supartoto,Suhardjo Pawiroranu +5 more
TL;DR: There was significant reduction in IL-6 tear concentration and clinical improvement in moderate-to-severe bacterial corneal ulcers which underwent CXL therapy.

Neurofibromatosis type 2 gene mutation and progesterone receptor messenger RNA expression in the pathogenesis of sporadic orbitocranial meningioma.
Agus Supartoto,Indra Tri Mahayana,Didik Setyo Heriyanto,Muhammad Bayu Sasongko,Henricus Datu Respatika,Dhimas Hari Sakti,Prima Sugesty Nurlaila,Hari Kusnanto,Suhardjo Pawiroranu,Sofia Mubarika Haryana +9 more
TL;DR: NF2 mutation-meningioma is associated with higher grade of meningioma and its association with progesterone receptor (PR) mRNA expression is strongly associated with exogenous progester one exposure and lower PR expression.

The eyelid tumor in Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Agus Supartoto,Annisa Nurina Ayuningtyas,Banu Aji Dibyasakti,Purjanto Tepo Utomo,Datu Respatika,Muhammad Bayu Sasongko +5 more
TL;DR: Sebaceous carcinoma followed by SCC and BCC were the most common eyelid tumor found in this study, and a further study is needed to determine the risk factor of each tumor.
