Controlling spontaneous emission with plasmonic optical patch antennas.
Cherif Belacel,Cherif Belacel,B. Habert,F. Bigourdan,François Marquier,Jean-Paul Hugonin,S. Michaelis de Vasconcellos,Xavier Lafosse,Laurent Coolen,Laurent Coolen,Catherine Schwob,Catherine Schwob,C. Javaux,Benoit Dubertret,Jean-Jacques Greffet,Pascale Senellart,Agnès Maître,Agnès Maître +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the spontaneous emission rate and the radiation pattern of colloidal quantum dots deterministically positioned in a plasmonic patch antenna were demonstrated. But the authors did not consider the double dipole structure of the emitters, which corresponds to a Purcell factor up to 80.

Inverse opals of molecularly imprinted hydrogels for the detection of bisphenol A and pH sensing.
Nébéwia Griffete,Hugo Frederich,Agnès Maître,Serge Ravaine,Mohamed M. Chehimi,Claire Mangeney +5 more
TL;DR: An increase in nanopore (mesh) size in the MIPs after BPA extraction as compared to NIPs is shown, in agreement with the presence of nanocavities left by the molecular imprints of the template molecule.

Enhancing Magnetic Light Emission with All-Dielectric Optical Nanoantennas.
Maria Sanz-Paz,Cyrine Ernandes,Cyrine Ernandes,Juan Uriel Esparza,Geoffrey W. Burr,Niek F. van Hulst,Agnès Maître,Lionel Aigouy,Thierry Gacoin,Nicolas Bonod,Maria F. Garcia-Parajo,Sébastien Bidault,Mathieu Mivelle +12 more
TL;DR: It is experimentally demonstrate that properly designed photonic nanoantennas can selectively manipulate the magnetic versus electric emission of luminescent nanocrystals and selective enhancement of magnetic emission from trivalent europium-doped nanoparticles in the vicinity of a nanoantenna tailored to exhibit a magnetic resonance.
Photonic crystal pH sensor containing a planar defect for fast and enhanced response
Nébéwia Griffete,Hugo Frederich,Agnès Maître,Mohammed M. Chehimi,Serge Ravaine,Claire Mangeney +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a defect layer within inverse opal hydrogels was introduced for the elaboration of tunable photonic crystal pH sensors with enhanced optical properties. And the defect layer was shown to enhance both the sensitivity and the response time of the photonic crystals sensing materials.
