Whole genome sequencing of SARS-CoV2 strains circulating in Iran during five waves of pandemic
Jila Yavarian,Ahmad Nejati,Vahid Salimi,Nazanin Zahra Shafiei Jandaghi,Kaveh Sadeghi,Adel Abedi,Ali Sharifi Zarchi,Mohammad Mehdi Gouya,Talat Mokhtari-Azad +8 more
TL;DR: There were different mutations in all parts of the genomes but Spike-D614G, NSP12-P323L, N-R203K and N-G204R were the most frequent mutants in these studied viruses.
Genomic surveillance of SARS‐CoV‐2 strains circulating in Iran during six waves of the pandemic
Kaveh Sadeghi,Sevrin Zadheidar,Arghavan Zebardast,Ahmad Nejati,Nastaran Ghavami,Shirin Kalantari,Vahid Salimi,Jila Yavarian,Adel Abedi,Nazanin Zahra Shafiei Jandaghi,Talat Mokhtari-Azad +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors sequenced 330 SARS-CoV-2 genomes during the sixth wave of the COVID pandemic in Iran and compared them with five previous waves, for identifying SARS•CoV•2 variants, the genomic behavior of the virus, and understanding its characteristics.

Cell-Free Supernatant of L. buchneri Probiotic Bacteria Enhancing Apoptosis Activity in AGS Gastric Cancer Cells
TL;DR: The cytotoxic activity and apoptosis induction of cell-free supernatants from Lactobacillus buchneri of traditional dairy products on the AGS gastric cancer cell line revealed that L. buchNERi obtained from Iranian traditional yogurt may protect the host from gastriccancer by triggering apoptosis in cancer cells.

Cytotoxic activity and apoptosis induction by supernatant of Lentilactobacillus buchneri on HT-29 colon cancer cells
Adel Abedi,Farzaneh Tafvizi,Neda Akbari,Parvaneh Jafari +3 more
TL;DR: This study indicates that L. buchneri CFS can prevent colorectal cancer (CRC) development in patients by inducing cancer cell apoptosis, and suggests that the CFS of L. buchneri could be used as a therapeutic agent for the control of CRC.
