Does sugar addiction really cause obesity
TL;DR: There is no experimental evidence that sugar addiction affects metabolism in a non-homeostatic way, nor thatugar addiction is a cause of obesity, according to the Selfish Brain theory.
Preserved inhibitory effect of recurrent hypoglycaemia on the male gonadotrophic axis
TL;DR: Hypoglycaemia‐induced decreases in male LH and testosterone concentrations are possibly mediated by activation of the hypothalamus–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis or by an increase in PRL, and whether the gonadotrophic axis and PRL adapt similarly is questioned.

Low plasma lactate concentration as a biomarker of an incompetent brain-pull: A risk factor for weight gain in type 2 diabetes patients
Regina van Dyken,C Hubold,Sonja Meier,Britta Hitze,Aja Marxsen,Kerstin M. Oltmanns,Ulrich Schweiger,Hendrik Lehnert,Luc Pellerin,Achim Peters +9 more
TL;DR: Low plasma lactate concentrations may represent a biomarker of an incompetent brain-pull, which is associated with weight gain and increased postprandial hunger in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, in line with the view that Plasma lactate can be used by the brain as an alternative energy substrate and thereby to some extent prevent overeating and obesity.

Preserved hypothermic response to hypoglycemia after antecedent hypoglycemia.
TL;DR: The data show that the body temperature decreases during hypoglycemia and this decrease is influenced neither by antecedent hypoglyCEmia nor by circulating insulin levels.
