Large-scale climate variability controls on climate, vegetation coverage, lake and groundwater storage in the Lake Urmia watershed using SSA and wavelet analysis
Abolfazl Rezaei,Jason J. Gurdak +1 more
TL;DR: Climate oscillations attributed to the Pacific Ocean (i.e., ENSO and PDO) have a more powerful influence than Atlantic Ocean oscillations (NAO and AMO) on the variability in the water level of Lake Urmia as well as on other hydro-climate variables, except for temperature that appears influenced by the Atlantic Oceanscillations, particularly AMO.

Variability in runoff and responses to land and oceanic parameters in the source region of the Indus River
Azfar Hussain,Jianhua Cao,Shaukat Ali,Waheed Ullah,Sher Muhammad,Ishtiaq Hussain,Abolfazl Rezaei,Kalpana Hamal,Mobeen Akhtar,Haider Abbas,Xiuqin Wu,Jinming Zhou +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors have attempted to show the relationship of the Source Region of the Indus River (SRIR) runoff with the regional meteorological and global oceanic indices, showing that runoff has a stronger association with regional environmental factors than global, as evident in correlation and wavelet analysis.

Impact of thin aquitards on two-dimensional solute transport in an aquifer.
TL;DR: This study reveals that the residence time distribution in the main aquifer is related to the aquitard/aquifer thickness ratios, Peclet numbers and porosities of adjacent aquitards, and suggests that MT3DMS cannot successfully simulate solute transport at the aquifer-aquitard interfaces.

Aquitard Horizontal Dispersion on Reactive Solute Transport in an Aquifer–Aquitard System
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of horizontal dispersion in an aquitard (HDA) on reactive solute transport was investigated by applying the Laplace transform along with cosine Fourier transforms.

The hydrogeochemistry and geothermometry of the thermal waters in the Mouil Graben, Sabalan volcano, NW Iran
TL;DR: In this paper, the emerging temperature of thermal springs within the Mouil Graben in the Sabalan volcano, a primary prospect for a geothermal power plant in Iran, varies from about 24 to 80°C.
