Dye Concentrations Measurement Using Mach–Zehner Interferometer Sensor and Modeled by ANFIS
TL;DR: In this paper, a reliable Mach-Zehner Interferometer (MZI) dye sensor is constructed by bridging two single mode fibres (SMF1 and SMF 2) with a short (sim 20$ mm), tapered multimode fiber (MMF).

Mass Transfer Study of Newtonian Fluids with Different Viscosity under Low-Frequency, High-Power Ultrasound Irradiation
Seyedali Asgharzadehahmadi,Baharak Sajjadi,Abdul Aziz Abdul Raman,Rajarathinam Parthasarathy +3 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of liquid properties and operating conditions on gas-liquid mass transfer under ultrasound irradiation and mechanical stirring were studied and compared, and three empirical correlations were developed to estimate kLa considering liquid viscosity as one of the main parameters, and their estimations were compared to those estimated using existing correlations in the literature.

Optimization of electrocoagulation process for the treatment of landfill leachate
Nazmul Huda,Abdul Aziz Abdul Raman,Singh Ramesh +2 more
- 01 Jun 2017
TL;DR: In this article, the treatment of leachate using electrocoagulation (EC) was investigated, and the experimental data was fitted onto second order polynomial equations to study the effects of initial pH, inter-electrode distance, and electrolyte concentration on color and COD removal.

Developing friendlier biodiesel production process via systematic inherent safety interventions
Xiaoming Gao,Abdul Aziz Abdul Raman,Hanee F. Hizaddin,Archina Buthiyappan,Mustapha Mohammed Bello +4 more
TL;DR: A Reconciled Friendly Process Metric (RFPM) is developed that can be used as a tool for hierarchically indicating the friendliness of processing scenarios and making trade-offs among safety, health, environmental, and cost concerns during conceptual design stage.
