Source influence on emission pathways and ambient PM 2.5 pollution over India (2015–2050)
Chandra Venkataraman,Michael Brauer,Kushal Tibrewal,Pankaj Sadavarte,Qiao Ma,Aaron Cohen,S. Chaliyakunnel,Joseph Frostad,Zbigniew Klimont,Randall V. Martin,Dylan B. Millet,Sajeev Philip,Sajeev Philip,Katherine Walker,Shuxiao Wang +14 more
TL;DR: PM2.5 pollution is a pan-India problem, with a regional character, and is not limited to urban areas or megacities, and even under the most active reductions envisioned, the 2050 mean exposure is estimated to be nearly 3 times higher than the WHO Air Quality Guideline.
Exposure to particulate matter and adverse birth outcomes: a comprehensive review and meta-analysis

Ambient air pollution: a cause of COPD?
Tamara Schikowski,Inga C. Mills,H. Ross Anderson,H. Ross Anderson,Aaron Cohen,Anna Hansell,Francine Kauffmann,Francine Kauffmann,Ursula Krämer,Alessandro Marcon,Laura Perez,Laura Perez,Jordi Sunyer,Nicole Probst-Hensch,Nicole Probst-Hensch,Nino Künzli,Nino Künzli +16 more
TL;DR: Evidence of chronic effects of air pollution on the prevalence and incidence of COPD among adults was suggestive but not conclusive, despite plausible biological mechanisms and good evidence that air pollution affects lung development in childhood and triggers exacerbations in COPD patients.
