Ophthalmoplegic migraine with isolated third cranial nerve palsy in a known case of juvenile myoclonic epilepsy
TL;DR: A known case of a female patient of JME having a history of classical migraine with aura presenting to us with headache and ophthalmoplegia is reported, where the patient was later started on tablet divalproex sodium, which the patient continues to take on a long-term basis, especially because of its efficacy as an antimigraine prophylaxis agent and a potent drug against JME.

TL;DR: Studies confirm that the infarction, in such cases, occur at lower level than that found in lateral medullary syndrome, and confirm that Opalski syndrome can be provoked not only by infarctions, but also by medulla oblongata dysfunction caudal to the pyramidal decussation caused by vascular compression.

Ophthalmoplegic Migraine and Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy: Two side of the same coin?
TL;DR: Excessive neocortical cellular excitability secondary to complex molecular mechanisms involving Sodium Pottasium ATPase & elevated glutamate ,potassium levels in extracellular fluid form the possible common underlying mechanism for causation of ophthalmoplegic migraine & juvenile myoclonic epilepsy.

A case of unilateral thalamic venous hemorrhagic infarct in deep venous system thrombosis
TL;DR: This case report is of thrombosis in the deep venous system of brain causing venous infarction of unilateral thalamus, where patient is overall well preserved except that he continues to have recent memory impairment even after 4 weeks of discharge from hospital.
