- 23 Feb 2022
TL;DR: There is no significant difference in overall aneurysm occlusion rates between aneurYSms treated initially with single versus multiple overlapping PEDs nor are there significant differences in procedure‐related complications.

Technical Nuances and Outcomes of Telescoping Pipeline Flow Diverters: A Multicenter Study
Cordell M Baker,Joshua C. Hunsaker,Zach Folzenlogen,G. Lee Pride,David Case,Babu G. Welch,Jonathan White,Christopher Roark,A. White,Joshua Seinfeld,Jonathan A. Muse,Ramesh Grandhi,Philipp Taussky +12 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors consider the technical nuances and challenges of telescoping PEDs for the treatment of intracranial aneurysms and present descriptive cases illustrating PED placement inside one another, proximally, distally, and to improve wall apposition because of vessel tortuosity.

The Impact of Dual Antiplatelet Therapy Duration on Unruptured Aneurysm Occlusion After Flow Diversion: A Multicenter Study
Justin E Vranic,Pablo Harker,Christopher J Stapleton,Robert W. Regenhardt,Adam A Dmytriw,Omer Doron,Naif M. Alotaibi,Thabele M Leslie-Mazwi,Rajiv Gupta,Inka Berglar,Can Ozan Tan,Matthew J. Matouk,Nanthiya Sujijantarat,Diego Devia,Maria Isabel Ocampo-Navia,Daniel E. Villamizar‐Torres,Juan Carlos Puentes,Aman B. Patel +28 more
TL;DR: After flow diversion, an abbreviated duration of DAPT lasting 6 months may be most appropriate before transitioning to low-dose aspirin monotherapy to promote timely aneurysm occlusion while minimizing thromboembolic complications.

El Namaani,A. Kühn,Bryan Pukenas,Brian T. Jankowitz,J. Burkhardt,Adnan Siddiqui,P. Jabbour,Ajit S. Puri,Robert W. Regenhardt,Vitor Mendes Pereira +38 more
TL;DR: Preprocedural PFT before PED treatment of intracranial aneurysms in patients premedicated with an aspirin and clopidogrel DAPT regimen may not be necessary to significantly reduce the risk of procedure-related intracranial complications.

Abstract WP11: The Impact Of Dual Antiplatelet Therapy Duration On Unruptured Aneurysm Occlusion Following Flow Diversion
Justin E Vranic,Pablo Harker,Christopher J Stapleton,Robert W. Regenhardt,Naif M. Alotaibi,Thabele M Leslie-Mazwi,Rajiv Gupta,Can Ozan Tan,Matthew J. Koch,Adam A Dmytriw,Scott B. Raymond,Justin R Mascitelli,Tyler D. Patterson,Joshua Seinfeld,A. White,David Case,Christopher Roark,Chirag D. Gandhi,Fawaz Al-Mufti,Jared B. Cooper,Charles C. Matouk,Nanthiya Sujijantarat,Diego Devia,Daniel E. Villamizar‐Torres,Maria A Ocampo-Navia,Juan Carlos Puentes,Aman B. Patel +26 more
TL;DR: Following endovascular flow-diversion, an abbreviated duration of DAPT lasting 6 months may be most appropriate before transitioning to low-dose aspirin monotherapy to promote timely aneurysm occlusion while minimizing delayed thromboembolic complications.
