GPS measurements of crustal deformation in the Baikal-Mongolia area (1994–2002): Implications for current kinematics of Asia
Eric Calais,Mathilde Vergnolle,Vladimir San'kov,A. V. Lukhnev,Andrei Miroshnitchenko,Sharavyn Amarjargal,Jacques Déverchère +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Wang et al. presented new geodetic results of crustal velocities over a large part of northern Asia based on GPS measurements in the Baikal rift zone and Mongolia spanning the 1994-2002 period.
Crustal deformation in the Baikal Rift from GPS measurements
Eric Calais,Olivia Lesne,Jacques Déverchère,Vladimir San'kov,A. V. Lukhnev,Andrei Miroshnitchenko,Vladimir Buddo,K. G. Levi,Vjacheslav Zalutzky,Yuri Bashkuev +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that the Baikal rift system has a crustal extension rate of 4.5±1.2 mm/yr in a WNW-ESE direction, which is at least two times greater than the prediction of most deformation models of Asia.

GPS geodetic constraints on the kinematics of the Amurian Plate
S. V. Ashurkov,Vladimir San'kov,A. I. Miroshnichenko,A. V. Lukhnev,A. P. Sorokin,M. A. Serov,L. M. Byzov +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the velocity field of recent horizontal crustal movements was obtained from five repeated GPS observations on the Amur-Zeya geodynamic test ground (Amur Region) in 2001-2007.

Late Cenozoic geodynamics and mechanical coupling of crustal and upper mantle deformations in the Mongolia-Siberia mobile area
TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive analysis of the parameters characterizing contemporary and neotectonic deformations of the Earth's crust and upper mantle developed in the Mongolia-Siberia area is presented.
