— The objective of this paperis to design and costruct an automatic irrigation system powered by PV panelson a laboratory level. A humidity sensor in the soil  and temperature sensors in the air are usedto check the need for irrigation in order to operate  a pump powered by the PV system. This PVsystem is a two axis solar tracking one. Sensors are installed on PV panels tocheck the position of the sun so that PV panels are always perpendicular to thesun. This control is made by means of a microcontroller. The whole system isfirst simulated by ISIS simulation software to validate the final controlalgorithem to be implemented. A particular attention has been given to thesolar tracking system. Experimental study is carried out to evaluate theperformance of the tracking system in laboratory by using a light source tosimulate the sun.These results show  thevalidity of the control of the irrigation system and the PV panels are alwaysnormal to the light source.

Automatic Irrigation System with PV Solar Tracking

Solar energy is clean, cheap, renewable, and abundantly available source of energy and hence many researchers focus on the techniques of increasing absorption of solar power for different practical applications. Solar tracking system plays a major role in this field because of the importance of tracking the sun and increasing absorption of solar energy during the day light timing. This paper presents a new design, simulation as well as results of dual axis solar tracking system that is able to make the solar panel produce maximum power during its function. The design takes into account that all related electronic (transducers, controlling, and drive circuits) are supplied by an efficient designed and simulated DC power supply which is fed from the connected solar panel. The simulation results show that the dual axis tracker has better capability of tracking the sun light in two planes instead of single plane tracking of single axis tracker. The design of the proposed system depends on general use discrete electronic components that make the practical implementation to be easily constructed.

Design and simulation of dual axis solar tracker for optimum solar energy absorption

Solar energy is becoming one of the most expanding renewable energy it is getting more prominence. Sun trackers can substantially improve the electricity production of a photovoltaic (PV) system. This paper proposes a novel design of a dual-axis solar tracking PV system that utilizes the feedback control theory along with a four-quadrant light-dependent resistor (LDR) sensor and simple electronic circuits to provide robust system performance. Our project will include the design and construction of a microcontroller-based solar panel tracking system. In hardware development we utilize LDR’s as sensors and two servo motors to direct the position of the solar panel. Dual-axis solar tracking allows more energy to be produced because the solar array is able to remain aligned perpendicular to the sun. In this paper to make better analysis Dual axis solar tracker is implemented for standalone system and simulation analysis is performed on the grid-connected PV station. To perform the experimental analysis the data is collected from Meteorology of Asmara and NASA. Comparative results have been presented between static and automatic solar dual-axis stand-alone systems. Moreover, comparison will be made among the output power results of our system with the conventional (Static) solar system. Simulation results have presented for the grid integrated system which shows better performance results.

The purpose of solar tracking system is to obtain optimization of captured energy. Solar tracker allows more energy to be captured and by the solar panel produced because the solar array is able to remain aligned to the sun since fixed facing of solar panel is widely used and may not effective for high power consumption. The average solar energy harvested by the conventional solar panels during the course day is not always maximized which is due to the static placement of the panel which limits their area of exposure. From the point of this review, it was obvious that t he research through the invention of the solar tracking system including the improving system for obtaining optimum sun energy are very much recommended as tracking of sun position could be performed via many methods. Design and construction of a microcontroller based single axis solar tracker

This paper presents the design details and implementation of a simple electronic voting machine with a seven segment digital display. The design is based on around the (AT89C52) microcontroller. The work gives all the design details the building blocks of the whole system. The concept design of this prototype is for two voters and an arbitrator. The arbitrator grants permission for voting and each voter can only vote once and protects the identity of the voter to make the process unbiased and fair. The simplicity of this prototype as presented can easily be replicated to cover multiple voters with little overhead in terms of cost.
