Effect of the scaling of the mechanical properties on the performances of ZnO piezo-semiconductive nanowires
Rodolfo Araneo,Antonio Rinaldi,A. Notargiacomo,Fabiano Bini,Franco Marinozzi,Marialilia Pea,Giampiero Lovat,Salvatore Celozzi +7 more
- 19 Jun 2014
TL;DR: In this article, a double power-law scaling for the mechanical size-effects of ZnO piezoelectric nanowires is proposed, which reveals that stiffening effects can indeed collide with the electrical size effects in very small ZnOs, thus meaning that minimizing the NW diameter does not always yield always the best piezo performance.
Wet sample confinement by superhydrophobic patterned surfaces for combined X-ray fluorescence and X-ray phase contrast imaging
Gabriele Ciasca,Luca Businaro,A. De Ninno,A. Cedola,A. Notargiacomo,Gaetano Campi,Massimiliano Papi,A. Ranieri,S. Carta,E. Giovine,Annamaria Gerardino +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a superhydrophobic patterned surface was fabricated and tested to enable the simultaneous collection of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectra and Xray phase contrast imaging (XPCI) using a few microliters drop confined on a super hydrophobic surface.

ZnO nanowires strips growth: Template reliability and morphology study
Marialilia Pea,Luca Maiolo,R. Pilloton,Antonio Rinaldi,Rodolfo Araneo,Ennio Giovine,A. Orsini,A. Notargiacomo +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the growth of ZnO nanostructures in strip-shaped methyl methacrylate-methacrylic acid copolymer templates has been investigated using typical hydrothermal growth parameters.

Characterization of thick conducting molybdenum films: Enhanced conductivity via thermal annealing
Augusto Marcelli,Bruno Spataro,Stefano Sarti,Valery Dolgashev,Sami Tantawi,D.A. Yeremian,Yasuo Higashi,R. Parodi,A. Notargiacomo,Junqing Xu,G. Cappuccio,G. Gatti,Giannantonio Cibin +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, electrical resistivity measurements vs. frequency were performed on two molybdenum coatings grown by RF magnetron sputtering technique on a sapphire substrate at room temperature and annealed at different temperatures.

Low temperature sputtered ITO on glass and epoxy resin substrates: influence of process parameters and substrate roughness on morphological and electrical properties
M. Bragaglia,M. Bragaglia,F.R. Lamastra,M. Tului,L. Di Gaspare,A. Notargiacomo,M. Valentini,Francesca Nanni,Francesca Nanni +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of different process parameters on coating morphological and electrical properties has been studied and it has been found that deposition chamber oxygen content is the main parameter affecting surface electrical resistance.
