Destruction of a solid film under the action of ultrashort laser pulse
Sergei I. Anisimov,V. V. Zhakhovskii,V. V. Zhakhovskii,Nail Inogamov,Katsunobu Nishihara,A. M. Oparin,Yu. V. Petrov +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a model of a more complex process of splitting out of a thin surface layer from a massive target in the case where the layer remains solid after heating is presented.

On Stochastic Mixing Caused by the Rayleigh Taylor Instability
TL;DR: In this article, the mixing of contacting substances is considered and the evolution of the mixing layer over a long time period from multimode initial perturbations is investigated numerically in the short-scale and wide-range cases.
18
Stability and Ambiguous Representation of Shock Wave Discontinuity in Thermodynamically Nonideal Media
TL;DR: In this paper, a nonlinear analysis of the behavior of a shock wave on a Hugoniot curve fragment that allows for the ambiguous representation of shock wave discontinuity has been performed.

Three-dimensional array structures associated with Richtmyer-Meshkov and Rayleigh-Taylor instability
Nail Inogamov,A. M. Oparin +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, all the lattice symmetries [rectangular (pmm2), square (p4mm), hexagonal (p6mm), and triangular (p3m1) lattices] which are of interest in connection with the instability of the surface of a fluid are studied.

Bubble motion in inclined pipes
Nail Inogamov,A. M. Oparin +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new theory of motion of large bubbles in pipes is developed, and a careful comparison of 2D and 3D solutions is presented, showing that a higher dimensionality may not correspond to a higher bubble velocity.
