Association of Vasopressin Plus Catecholamine Vasopressors vs Catecholamines Alone With Atrial Fibrillation in Patients With Distributive Shock: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
William F. McIntyre,Kevin J. Um,Waleed Alhazzani,A. Lengyel,Ludhmila Abrahão Hajjar,Anthony C. Gordon,Anthony C. Gordon,Francois Lamontagne,Jeff S. Healey,Richard P. Whitlock,Emilie P. Belley-Côté +10 more
TL;DR: In this systematic review and meta-analysis, the addition of vasopressin to catecholamine vasopressingors compared with catecholinamines alone was associated with a lower risk of atrial fibrillation.
Hemodynamic outcomes of the Ross procedure versus other aortic valve replacement: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Kevin J. Um,Graham R. McClure,Emilie P. Belley-Côté,Emilie P. Belley-Côté,Saurabh Gupta,Ismail Bouhout,Hugo Lortie,Hatim Alraddadi,Ali Alsagheir,Matthias Bossard,Matthias Bossard,William F. McIntyre,William F. McIntyre,A. Lengyel,John W. Eikelboom,John W. Eikelboom,Maral Ouzounian,Michael W.A. Chu,Dominic Parry,Ismail El-Hamamsy,Richard P. Whitlock,Richard P. Whitlock +21 more
TL;DR: Compared to conventional AVR, the Ross procedure was associated with better aortic valve hemodynamics and the evidence for all outcomes from observational studies was deemed to be of very low quality, while the evidence from RCTs was downgraded for imprecision and moderately serious risk of bias.

Restricted versus liberal intraoperative benzodiazepine use in cardiac anaesthesia for reducing delirium (B-Free Pilot): a pilot, multicentre, randomised, cluster crossover trial
Jessica Spence,Emilie P. Belley-Côté,Eric Jacobsohn,Shun Fu Lee,Richard P. Whitlock,Shrikant I. Bangdiwala,Summer Syed,Anisha Sarkaria,Sarah MacIsaac,A. Lengyel,Steven Long,Kevin J. Um,William F. McIntyre,William F. McIntyre,Morvarid S. Kavosh,Ian Fast,Rakesh C. Arora,Andre Lamy,Andre Lamy,Stuart J. Connolly,Stuart J. Connolly,Philip J. Devereaux,Philip J. Devereaux +22 more
TL;DR: This pilot study demonstrates the feasibility of a large, multicentre, randomised, cluster crossover trial examining whether an institutional policy of restricted vs liberal benzodiazepine use during cardiac surgery will reduce postoperative delirium.

Outcomes after Ross procedure in adult patients: A meta-analysis and microsimulation.
Serena Sibilio,Alex Koziarz,Alex Koziarz,Emilie P. Belley-Côté,Emilie P. Belley-Côté,Graham R. McClure,Graham R. McClure,Sarah MacIsaac,Sarah MacIsaac,S. Reza,Kevin J. Um,A. Lengyel,Pablo A. Mendoza,Ali Alsagheir,Hatim Alraddadi,Saurabh Gupta,Adriaan W. Schneider,Parth M. Patel,John W. Brown,Michael W.A. Chu,Mark D. Peterson,Maral Ouzounian,Domenico Paparella,Ismail El-Hamamsy,Richard P. Whitlock,Richard P. Whitlock +25 more
TL;DR: A meta‐analysis to estimate the risk of adverse events, life expectancy, and event‐free life expectancy after the Ross procedure in adults in adults is conducted.

Design and rationale of the atrial fibrillation occurring transiently with stress (AFOTS) incidence study.
William F. McIntyre,A. Lengyel,Jeff S. Healey,Maria E. Vadakken,Anand S. Rai,Bram Rochwerg,A. Bhatnagar,Bishoy Deif,Jessica Spence,Shrikant I. Bangdiwala,Emilie P. Belley-Côté,Richard P. Whitlock +11 more
TL;DR: The AFOTS Incidence study will employ a systematic and highly sensitive protocol for detecting AFOTS in medical illness and non-cardiac surgery ICU patients and will provide a reliable estimate of the true incidence of AFOTS.
