FDG-PET and diffusion-weighted MRI in head-and-neck cancer patients: implications for dose painting
Antonetta C. Houweling,A.L. Wolf,Wouter V. Vogel,Olga Hamming-Vrieze,Corine van Vliet-Vroegindeweij,Jeroen B. van de Kamer,Uulke A. van der Heide +6 more
TL;DR: FDG-PET and DWI contain different information, resulting in different targets for dose escalation in the GTV of HN cancer patients, and further information about failure patterns and dose relations can be obtained by adding DWI to currently ongoing dose painting trials.

Dynamic collimator angle adjustments during volumetric modulated arc therapy to account for prostate rotations.
TL;DR: It is feasible to dynamically adjust the collimator angle during VMAT treatment delivery to correct for prostate rotations up to 15°, and this technique can safely correct for left-right prostate rotated around the simulated left- right angle.

Quality assurance and safety of hippocampal avoidance prophylactic cranial irradiation in the multicenter randomized phase III trial (NCT01780675)
O. Candiff,José Belderbos,A.L. Wolf,Eugène M.F. Damen,P. M. A. van Haaren,Wouter Crijns,S. Hol,Leen Paelinck,Z. van Kesteren,J. Jaspers,Geert De Kerf,Wouter van Elmpt,Fred Ubbels,Sanne B. Schagen,Dirk De Ruysscher,Michiel B. de Ruiter +15 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the quality of the irradiation given in the randomized controlled trial (RCT) comparing SCLC patients receiving PCI with or without hippocampal avoidance, using intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) or volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT).
