TL;DR: In this paper , a total of 7.4 million common genetic variants were tested in association with the expression levels of 92 inflammation-related plasma proteins in 1,538 subjects aged 22-24 years from the Swedish BAMSE population-based cohort, and differential expression of proteins with significant genetic associations was evaluated in subjects with Type 2 inflammation and/or asthma through multinomial logistic regressions.

TL;DR: The largest AD GWAS to date is conducted, combining previously reported cohorts with additional available data, and identifies 81 loci predominantly in immune pathways of relevance to atopic inflammation and some offer drug repurposing opportunities.
