Effect of production variables on the fatigue behaviour of riveted lap joints
TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental research on the influence of several production related factors on the fatigue behavior of simple riveted lap joint specimens under constant amplitude loading conditions is presented, including the rivet type and material, the sheet material and the squeeze force.

Fatigue crack location and fatigue life for riveted lap joints in aircraft fuselage
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of variables related to design and production of riveted lap joints representative of longitudinal sheet connections for a pressurized transport aircraft fuselage were experimentally investigated, which indicated that the detrimental effect of this type imperfections could outweigh the benefits associated with a decrease in secondary bending due to thinning the sheets.

Fatigue strength reduction factors at rivet holes for aircraft fuselage lap joints
TL;DR: In this article, a series of fatigue tests on aluminium alloy sheet coupons with an open hole and filled hole subjected to remote tension, pin loading and out-of-plane bending have been carried out.

Fatigue life prediction model for riveted lap joints
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of rivets on the fatigue life of aircraft fuselage skin connections was investigated and the impact of the rivet hole expansion and the load transfer distribution was investigated.

Observations and analyses of secondary bending for riveted lap joints
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of secondary bending on the riveted lap joint fatigue life was investigated experimentally and analytically using a simple analytical model proposed by Schijve to estimate secondary bending moments induced in mechanically fastened joints with eccentricities.
