TL;DR: Onychomycosis is a pathology of the adult, mainly candidosic etiology in hands and dermatophytic in feet, and in toenail lesions, Trichophyton rubrum was by far the most frequently isolated species.

TL;DR: Investigations revealed that the patient was transfused by a red cell unit harvested in a voluntary donor native of a malaria endemic country that was positive for P. falciparum and the patient is alive with a normal blood count 1 year after BMT.
