Cancer is defined as an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells. Current treatment strategiesfor cancer include combination of radiation, chemotherapy and surgery. The long-term use of conventionaldrug delivery systems for cancer chemotherapy leads to fatal damage of normal proliferate cellsand this is particularly used for the management of solid tumors, where utmost tumor cells are not invadedquickly. A targeted drug delivery system (TDDS) is a system, which releases the drug at a preselectedbiosite in a controlled manner. Nanotechnology based delivery systems are making a significantimpact on cancer treatment and the polymers play key role in the development of nanopraticlulatecarriers for cancer therapy. Some important technological advantages of nanotherapeutic drug delivery systems (NDDS)include prolonged half-life, improved bio-distribution, increased circulation time of the drug, controlled and sustained releaseof the drug, versatility of route of administration, increased intercellular concentration of drug and many more. Thisreview covers the current research on polymer based anticancer agents, the rationale for development of these polymertherapeutical systems and discusses the benefits and challenges of cancer nanomedicines including polymer-drug conjugates,micelles, dendrimers, immunoconjugates, liposomes, nanoparticles.

Chemotherapists have been fascinated for a long time with phenomenon of anti–cancer drugs. This editorial generally associated with anti-cancer compounds, now extends equally well to medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry . Despite this continuing very frequent use in the scientific literature, anti–cancer drugs like many other and useful and popular chemical concepts is non–reductive and lacks an unambiguous basis. It has no precise quantitative definition and is not directly measureable experimentally. In other words, anti– cancer compounds are a virtual quantity, rather than a physical observable. Hence, the chemistry of anti–cancer drugs has been attractive to chemotherapists. In addition, the interest to the chemistry of nanoparticles is due to the fact that nanoparticles are important synthetic materials in the preparation of anti–cancer compounds.

Modern science is based on interaction among disciplines. Biochemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry have transformed the nano-materials of everyday life, but this is merely a quick look of the future of pharmaceutical nano-compounds such as intelligent nanoparticles that behave as a sensor, anti–cancer drugs, self– reproducing pharmaceutical nano-compounds, molecules that work nano–engineering and even molecules that think may transform our world in ways not yet imagined. These advancements and developments are the result of cooperation among biochemists, pharmaceutical chemists, medicinal chemists, computer experts, materials engineers, organic chemists, physicists, pharmacists and many other researchers and scientists in all over the world. The most dramatic advancements and developments at the beginning of the twenty–first century are novel methods and techniques in biochemistry and pharmacology from collaborations among biochemists and pharmaceutical chemists [1-21].

Novel and Stable Modifications of Intelligent Cadmium Oxide (CdO) Nanoparticles as Anti-Cancer Drug in Formation of Nucleic Acids Complexes for Human Cancer Cells’ Treatment

DNA/RNA complexes play an important role in many biological and catalytic systems. The variety of their functions is due in part to the diversity of metals that bind in the “pocket” of the DNA/RNA complexes system. In this editorial, we discuss synthesis and recognition of DNA/RNA complexes and argue group theory of them. Upon metalation the DNA/RNA complexes system deprotonates, forming a dianionic ligand. The metal ions behave as Lewis acids, accepting lone pairs of electrons from the dianionic DNA/RNA ligand. Unlike most transition metal complexes, their color is due to absorption(s) within the DNA/RNA ligand involving the excitation of electrons from π to π* (π→π*) DNA/RNA complexes orbitals. Most DNA/RNA complexes contain a metal ion in the center of the planner DNA/RNA complexes system, resulting in a kinetically inert complex. If, however, the ionic radius of the metal ions is too large to fit into the hole in the center of the macro cycle, they are located out of the ligand plane, distorting it. These kinetically labile Sitting–Atop (SAT) complexes display characteristic structural and photo induced properties that strongly deviates from those of the regular DNA/RNA complexes [1-26].

Since the only 5–10% of sunlight is in this range, in solar cells based on Cadmium Oxide (CdO) and Rhodium (III) Oxide (Rh2O3) nanoparticles, for making them sensitive to visible light, dyes are used as scavenger. In this editorial, the method of manufacturing electrodes which are synthesized by Mercurochrome have been studied and comparing of their efficiency due to their structure and morphology, have been done by Energy Dispersion Analysis (EDS), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), X–Ray Diffraction (XRD), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Differential Thermal Analysis–Thermal Gravim Analysis (DTA–TGA), Energy–Dispersive X–Ray Spectroscopy (EDX), 1HNMR, 13CNMR, UV–Vis, Attenuated Total Reflectance Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (ATR–FTIR) and FT–Raman spectroscopies and also ESI MS, PM5 and DFT studies.
