Measurement of Dam Deformations by Terrestrial Interferometric Techniques
Ivan Mario Alba,G. Bernardini,A. Giussani,P. P. Ricci,Fabio Roncoroni,Marco Scaioni,P. Valgoi,K. Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a non-contact GBInSAR sensor for the measurement of daily deformations of an arch-gravity dam is described, which is a Ku-band interferometric radar sensor apt to simultaneously monitor the displacement response of several points belonging to a large structure.
Monitoring of geological sites by laser scanning techniques
Marco Scaioni,A. Giussani,Fabio Roncoroni,M. Sgrenzaroli,G. Vassena +4 more
- 01 Jan 2004
TL;DR: In this paper, some guidelines for executing a survey of a landslide by means of terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) techniques are addressed; problems such as 3Dview registration, survey planning, data processing and information extraction are concerned.

Development and testing of a method for tunnel monitoring via vision metrology
TL;DR: A fast method for displacement measurement based on digital images, which allows a deformation analysis along the cross-sections of a tunnel, with an accuracy better than ±1 mm for a tunnel wider than 12 meters, notwithstanding the shorter data acquisition time and the low cost of the cameras used.

Fast mapping from high resolution satellite images: a sustainable approach to provide maps for developing countries
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed the Fast Mapping product, which is a cartographic product derived from aerial photogrammetry, and termed such a product "Fast Mapping" due to difference from traditional cartography, either in the production process and in the content of maps.
Monitoring of a SFRC retaining structure during placement
TL;DR: In this article, a solution for monitoring rigid 3D displacements and deformations of 4 steel fibre RC innovative retaining structures designed for stabilizing unstable slopes is presented, whilst results achieved during the placement of every structure are given.
