Creating customized oral stents for head and neck radiotherapy using 3D scanning and printing.
Mohamed Zaid,Nimit Bajaj,Hannah Burrows,Ryan Mathew,A. Dai,Christopher Wilke,Stephen Palasi,Ryan Hergenrother,Caroline Chung,Clifton D. Fuller,Jack Phan,G. Brandon Gunn,William H. Morrison,Adam S. Garden,Steven J. Frank,David I. Rosenthal,Michael Andersen,Adegbenga O. Otun,Mark S. Chambers,Eugene J. Koay +19 more
TL;DR: An efficient workflow for custom designing and 3D-printing MOTD radiation stents for patients receiving radiotherapy for head and neck cancer is developed, which represents a considerable improvement over the CT-derived segmentation method.
Imaging-Based Subtypes of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Exhibit Differential Growth and Metabolic Patterns in the Pre-Diagnostic Period: Implications for Early Detection.
Mohamed Zaid,Dalia Elganainy,Prashant Dogra,A. Dai,Lauren Widmann,Pearl Fernandes,Zhihui Wang,María J. Peláez,Javier Ruiz Ramírez,Aatur D. Singhi,Anil K. Dasyam,Randall E. Brand,Walter G. TL;DR: In this article, the authors characterized subtypes of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) on computed-tomography (CT) scans, whereby conspicuous (high delta) PDAC tumors are more likely to have aggressive biology and poorer clinical outcomes compared to inconspicuous (low delta) tumors.
Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Immune and Stromal Elements Differ in Spatial Distribution Based on Response to Chemoradiation

Induction of differentiation in hl60 cells by the reduction of extrachromosomally amplified c-myc
TL;DR: The utility of targeting extrachromosomal DNA to modulate tumor phenotype is illustrated and it is revealed that both HU and dimethyl sulfoxide induce differentiation in HL60 cells through DM elimination.
