Luminosity measurement method for the LHC: The detector requirements studies
TL;DR: In this article, the phase-space region where the lepton pair production cross section in pp collisions at the LHC can be controlled with < 1 % precision and is large enough to reach a comparable statistical accuracy of the absolute luminosity measurement on the day-by-day basis was selected.

Luminosity measurement method for the LHC: Event selection and absolute luminosity determination
TL;DR: In this article, the authors use the base-line detector model, with no precise timing capabilities, to evaluate the statistical and systematic accuracy of the method and propose the complete event selection procedure and demonstrate that it allows to collect a sufficiently large sample of e + e − pairs to achieve a better than 1% statistical accuracy.

Luminosity measurement method for the LHC: The detector requirement studies
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a new luminosity measurement method for the LHC collider based on the detection of lepton pairs produced in the peripheral collisions of LHC beam particles and achieved better than 1% accuracy of the theoretical control of the event rate.

Luminosity Measurement Method for the LHC: Event Selection and Absolute Luminosity Determination
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the measurement method capable of achieving absolute normalisation of the LHC measurements with O(1%) precision and their relative normalisation, for the data collected at variable center-of-mass energies, or for variable beam particle species, with O (0.1) precision.

TL;DR: In this article, a method of a precise measurement of the LHC absolute luminosity is introduced, which demonstrates the unlike sign lepton pair production in the two-photon process.
