Deposition and structural properties of two-component metal coatings for tribological applications
TL;DR: In this paper, two basic deposition modes, codeposition from a multicomponent target and sequential deposition from two separate targets, are discussed and the dependence of the film structure on the process parameters and film composition is discussed with respect to the different deposition modes.

The growth dynamics of thick sputtered copper coatings under the influence of surface diffusion: A quantitative atomic force microscopy study
TL;DR: A detailed experimental study of the surface evolution of sputtered copper coatings with thicknesses ranging from 300 to 105 A for a working gas pressure of 0.4 Pa is presented in this article.

Kinetic phase separation in sputter-deposited aluminium–tin films
TL;DR: In this article, the structural changes of sputter-deposited aluminium-tin (Al-Sn) in dependence on the Sn content were investigated, and it was concluded that the phase distributions are determined by the different surface mobilities of the two materials in the film growth zone.

Solid-state wetting and spreading of tin (Sn) on aluminium interfaces
Christoph Eisenmenger-Sittner,H. Bangert,A. Bergauer,Josef Brenner,Herbert Störi,Péter B. Barna +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the islanding mechanism and the dependence of the morphology of the Al-overlayer on the oxidation state of the underlying surface by combined SEM, atomic force microscopy and scanning Auger microscopic (SAM) investigations.

Study protocol: a survey exploring patients’ and healthcare professionals’ expectations, attitudes and ethical acceptability regarding the integration of socially assistive humanoid robots in nursing
Izidor Mlakar,Tadej Kampič,Vojko Flis,Nina Kobilica,Maja Molan,Urška Smrke,Nejc Plohl,A. Bergauer +7 more
TL;DR: The proposed study aims to assess expectations, attitudes and ethical acceptability regarding the integration of socially assistive humanoid robots into hospitalised care workflow from patients’ and healthcare professionals’ perspectives and to compare them with the results of similar studies.
