The digital twin (DT) of a process is a prospective tool for designing modern digital productions based on the Industry 4.0 concept. The development of technological process (TP) DT provides a large amount of data acquisition connected with product processing into a single information structure. The structure may contain the values of different technological parameters and the workshop's utilized resources data. From this point of view, the monitoring of machine-building TP can be implemented and based on the DT process. The development of this approach was the purpose of the research. The scientific publication analysis showed the approach under consideration is relevant and insufficiently developed from a scientific point of view. The authors propose the structure of TP DT for high variety low volume machine-building production in this paper. The possibility of its application for the majority of these types of production is proved. An algorithm for solving the TP monitoring task based on the DT process is described.

Application of the Digital Twin Concept to Solve the Monitoring Task of Machine-Building Technological Process

An imitating model for monitoring the work of a workshop that executes several technological processes was developed. Model was developed with usage of probability theory methods, mathematical statistics, and the theory of random processes. The model visualizes a certain set of states of the executed operations belonging to the technological process and allows user to track the percentage of failure for each machine and of the entire system as a whole at each stage of the technological process. Approbation of the model was carried out by calculating the estimated probability of technological process completion for the blanking mechanical engineering production of FSUE NPO Tekhnomash.

Simulation model for monitoring the execution of technological processes

A hybrid control system has been developed for an anthropomorphic gripping device capable of grasping an object whose physicomechanical and geometric characteristics are unknown. The surface is identified on the basis of a multiply connected inverse pendulum, simulating the hand of a gripping device. A fuzzy control algorithm is synthesized for a two-level hybrid automatic control system.

It is shown that modification of zinc oxide with polyethylene glycol leads to an increase in the catalytic activity of 1% Pd/ZnO nanocomposites in the low-temperature selective hydrogenation of acetylenic alcohols. This effect is due to the formation of palladium nanoparticles 2-4 nm in size in the polymer layer attached to the surface of the zinc oxide.

Dynamic methods of calibrating automatic leak detectors and manometric monitoring instruments are considered. Attention focuses on chronometric and reduction methods of calibration, which are based on gas emission under pressure through active resistances, employing the frequency principle. High precision is ensured in that the results are independent of the temperature, the humidity, and the gas parameters. Calibration facilitates utilization of the instruments in mass production.

Dynamic Calibration of Automatic Leak-Detection Instruments

The dependence of the hydrogen supplied to the hydrogenation reactor on the acetylene concentration is simulated. An algorithm is proposed for automatic cascade control of selective hydrogenation. That permits optimization of the hydrogen supply on the basis of the actual acetylene concentration in the ethane—ethylene fraction and the input of raw materials to the reactor.
