Composite Sulfonated Polyether-Ether Ketone Membranes with SBA-15 for Electrochemical Energy Systems.
A. Rico-Zavala,J L Pineda-Delgado,Alessandra Carbone,A. Saccà,Enza Passalacqua,M.P. Gurrola,A. Álvarez,S. Rivas,Janet Ledesma-García,Luis Gerardo Arriaga +9 more
TL;DR: Water Uptake, Ion Exchange Capacity (IEC), proton conductivity, methanol permeability and other physicochemical properties were evaluated and, in PEMFC tests, the S-PEEK membrane with a 10 wt.% SBA-15 loading showed the highest performance.

Urease enzyme as anodic catalyst in a microfluidic fuel cell
J. Galindo-de-la-Rosa,R. Balam-Vera,A. Álvarez,E. Ortiz-Ortega,Noé Arjona,Luis Gerardo Arriaga,Janet Ledesma-García +6 more
- 01 Jul 2018
TL;DR: In this article, enzymatic bioanodes based in urease enzyme were developed using graphene oxide as support material on porous electrodes, for application in microfluidic devices that use urea as fuel.
2
Alcohol dehydrogenase as bioanode for methanol and ethanol oxidation in a microfluidic fuel cell
J. Galindo-de-la-Rosa,D. Vite-González,J.A. Diaz-Real,N. Vázquez-Maya,A. Álvarez,Luis Gerardo Arriaga,Janet Ledesma-García +6 more
- 01 Jul 2018
TL;DR: In this paper, an enzymatic bioanode was developed using functionalized carbon nanofibers for the immobilization of alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme, using Nafion, tetrabutylammonium bromide and glutaraldehyde onto Toray carbon paper.
