Incidence of chemotherapy-induced amenorrhea depending on the timing of treatment by menstrual cycle phase in women with early breast cancer
S. Di Cosimo,A. Alimonti,Gia Ferretti,Isabella Sperduti,Paolo Carlini,Paola Papaldo,Alessandra Fabi,Alain Gelibter,Mariangela Ciccarese,Diana Giannarelli,Mario Mandalà,Michele Milella,Enzo Maria Ruggeri,Francesco Cognetti +13 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that the timing of treatment within the menstrual cycle may potentially modulate the onset of CIA, and its future confirmation using prospective randomized trials would be useful in predicting the likelihood of CIA and in counseling breast cancer patients, especially those with a good prognosis who benefit less from chemical castration.

High serum levels of TNF-α and IL-6 predict the clinical outcome of treatment with human recombinant erythropoietin in anaemic cancer patients
Ida Pavese,F. Satta,F. Todi,M. Di Palma,P. Piergrossi,A. Migliore,P. Piselli,R. Borghesi,G. Mancino,E. Brunetti,A. Alimonti +10 more
TL;DR: Pretreatment evaluation of TNF-alpha and IL-6 serum levels can help to select those patients who are most likely to benefit from treatment with rHuEPO, and on the contrary, Hb level, red blood cell count, lactate dehydrogenase and BFI score do not predict the outcome of treatment.
